Chandler Jones

I know he hasn't really been brought up as someone the Ravens might draft but given today's developments and the following tweets I thought maybe he should be discussed.

It would be awesome to put the two Jones brothers together on the D-line, but he would be a reach in the 1st and doubt he falls to the end of the 2nd. I think there will be some good players available at 29 so I dont see us trading back either.

I am always in favor of adding more SU players. He put up good stats when he wasn't injured at SU. He can play 4-3 DE and 3-4 OLB.

would love to have him as a Raven. So many defensive players I want, not really any offensive guys I would want outside of Floyd (so this offense has no more excuses) and Mike Adams.

He seems like a T-sizzle type to me.

Would love to have him, maybe in the 3rd. Hopefully he falls that far.

Haven't heard the NFL/talking heads gushing about him, which is probably a good sign for us. :)

He and Sizzle are quite different.

He's got talent similar to Aldon Smith and JPP. It's highly doubtful he'll fall well into the 3rd.

He will if he blames coaches for his mistakes. Let's hope he does that like Burfict.

I doubt Jones is that stupid, though.

I agree with the JPP & Smith comparisons. Those are pretty accurate, which is a good thing, honestly. I would take him in the 2nd.

Now the question: Courtney Upshaw falls to 29. Take him? Let's say we do. Do we still take Jones if he is BPA? Seems a little unnecessary. I don't think Jones can play inside, either. He would be good value, though. He & Ronnell would be nice picks. Ronnell inside with Jones outside. Sounds like a nice team. Or even Shea on the outside with Ronnell inside. Or Kendricks.

Man, can't wait for the draft.

He definitely isn't that dumb. First two lines regarding intangibles in his ESPN scouting report: "Hard worker and accountable. Well respected by coaches and teammates.

I doubt the team would draft Jones in the 2nd after taking Upshaw in the 1st.

He'll definitely be able to rush the passer from between the guards. But his best position will either be a 4-3 LDE or 3-4 OLB that has his hands on the ground almost all the time.

Off-topic, but I'm not convinced teams will be drafting Lewis looking to convert him to a ILB.
