Reggie Wayne re-signing a three-year deal with Colts. Agreement reached.

Looking like the draft will be where we go. People might not like me saying this but I could also see Lee Evans coming back.

Edit: Sorry for the multiple threads. Pressing post multiple times when it freezes isn't the smartest idea lol

Everyone though Reggie and Peyton were a package deal. With Garcon and Wayne off the market, this really hurts Denver's chances of signing Manning. They need a receiver and worthwhile options are falling off the table pretty quick, but then again they can't rush out and sign a big time receiver to catch passes from Tebow.

I think the Dolphins are now out of the race for Peyton. By getting rid of Marshall I think they were relying on Peyton & Wayne combo the most.

The Dolphins were definitely thinking they could bring in a number one WR to replace Marshall (a player Manning doesn't like) in order to lure Manning in. But it looks like most of the top FAs at that position are off the board by now.

I'm gonna assume the Colts are bringing Wayne back on board because they didn't want to pay enough to beat the Redskins and bring Pierre Garcon back in. I would guess they'd rather have the younger player back if the price had been right, but Wayne remains the superior receiver, and a much more reliable one. I just can't imagine they were too enthusiastic about bringing back an older WR when they're trying to get younger at so many positions right now.

A lot of guys were saying the Dolphins might try to sign Wayne and Dallas Clark as a way to entice Manning. Looks like all the Dolphins have succeeded in doing is make it less likely Manning will sign with them - Fasano, Bees, and Bush, to me, would not be enough when he might be able to go to Tennessee and throw to Kenny Britt (plus the advantage of beating the crap out of the Colts twice a year if he thought that way, ala Brett Favre) or going to Arizona and lighting it up with Fitz.

There's a free agent thread for a reason... To stop all these threads

I understand that. Your thread is great for seeing who all is getting signed. But when you are posting about multiple players all in one thread it can take away from getting to talk about certain players that you want to further discuss. Reggie Wayne was actually linked to us. It is not just some random signing I wanted to make a thread for. If it is a waste of a thread than it can be deleted.. nothing I can do about it now.
