It's really irritating typing Italian on this Android mobile browser. It keeps changing my "il" to "I'll".

Anyway, I would be happy if we signed Winston & McNeil as long as the deals are cap friendly. I see McNeil as a bigger priority than Winston due to our weak & aging left side. If McNeil returns healthy, we have our LT. Winston would be a great RT, but I feel he is a luxury. Unless the FO knows something we don't about Oher or Reid, I feel LT is a bigger priority than RT in FA.

He has the size but the footwork? I mean, if he can play LT I am 100% behind this move, and it would make more sense as to why we traded up to get him.

our goal was to keep the o-line consistent and its turning out possibly the only continuous starter could be Yanda. McKinnie could be cut, will lose grubbs, c in FA/Draft, and Reid starting at RT, or even Winston i guess. all i know is oher is not in a good spot right now.

Well if he turns out to be a great guard, I think it would still be worth it. Right now I think we have holes/unknowns at four spots: both tackle positions, left guard, and center. Assuming we draft a center, that's three holes. If Oher or Reid could fill even one of the voids between them, that's two holes. Remember, we drafted Grubbs in the 1st round of 2007 and Yanda in the 3rd round of that same draft, so it's not like we haven't used a top pick on a guard before.

if we made a move for him, it would be at McKinnie's expense. almost a guranteed cut if winston comes in. mckinnie is a good LT but just doesn't fit the zone scheme. Not saying winston would play LT though, just mentioning thats why we would cut B-Mac.

imo, oher mathis X yanda winston

is better than

mckinnie mathis X yanda Oher

at least with oher at LT your only question marks are Oher and the center

in the other scenario, mckinnie god knows what way he shows up at camp, and oher can be inconsitent.

Id rather have one bookend, so you can concentrate extra protection on just one side

Good point, go shotgun split back and have one of the TEs chip on Oher's side. In I-forms just leave Leach in to pass block on that side.

exactly, and why are people saying move oher to left, why not trade him? is that not one of ozzie's options or something. rather keep mckinnie than oher if we had to.
