Need Opinions For A Custom Jersey

46 posts in this topic

I want to get a custom name put on a jersey that way in the future I can still wear it, without it being weird in case the player isn't around.

I want Organized Chaos, but that won't fit and I'm not sure I want to abbreviate anything.

Anyone have a good idea? I was also thinking of doing SHUT DOWN. Thoughts please?

Number: 1

Simple. Arrogant. Effective.

Fits the team, doesn't it? lol.

What are your thoughts on SHUT DOWN?

Might work.

Regardless of the name, I'm still firm in at least going with #1, though. It's the only number allowed to be worn on gameday that NO Raven will wear (team rule).

Plus, I personally think it's tacky when people go with single digits but add a 0 to the front. Like 01 or 02, stuff like that. It's not necessary when they let you use the single digits to begin with.

And no offense to the other suggestion, but I'm not a fan of jersey numbers representing years, like 09 for 2009.

Yeah, a Unitas black on black jersey would be pretty tight, not to mention timeless.

NFL doesn't allow retired players' jerseys to be printed, even if it's technically not on the team for which they played.

There are licensing issues, similar to the current lawsuit that retired players are filing against EA Sports for putting these players' likenesses in the Madden NFL games but intentionally changing minor details (jersey numbers, names) to avoid paying royalties.

Just went to NFL's web site and tried. Unitas can be gotten in Ravens #19, and in Colts #19. Mexico can't be gotten on any Jersey apparently.

Wanted to make sure that it would filter them, so I tried to do a Rice #80 in a Niners jersey, wouldn't allow it. It would let you get a Rice #82, not sure why you'd want that though.

Guidelines for Customization
League player names must match current team rosters and the team for which they currently play
Retired player names cannot be printed on the team's jersey from which they retired
Both adult and youth jerseys hold up to 12 characters
Characters accepted: capital A-Z (name field only); 0-9 (number field only); spaces
Each space counts as one (1) character
Language deemed inappropriate, derogatory, or profane will not be accepted
If your selection does not meet all of the above criteria you will be prompted to start over

Wait, so you cannot get a Colts jersey with Unitas on it? Or do you have to purchase the official Unitas Colts jersey?

Also does that mean you can smack Unitas onto any team jersey?

Do your favorite number and your name or nickname dude...getting cute with the names on jerseys is cool for like a minute, and then it's over. <_<

You don't think SHUT DOWN will be cool for many years? =P

As for other options, I like them but I don't want abbreviated words, I would like to have the full word(s) if possible.

Hate custom jerseys.
When walking into the stadium all liquored up we are always trying to figure out...who the hell is Ramirez, when did a Peterson play for our team...wait do you remember Watson????

To me a jersey needs to have a players number and name attached to it to be a 'team' jersey.

I still think the number jersey one sold for our team should be Stover's #4. But I was told nobody wears a kickers' jersey. But, he is the highest scorer ever for our team.

It's like all these off-color jerseys, and yeah I have a black out jersey and my wife has a pink jersey.
But, when at home, Purple is the only color! :P

OrganizedKao is all that will fit. And I don't want to put Orgnzd or anything like that.
