I will say this though, I do think RG3's talents could over come the lack of support in Washington and make them at most a 7 or 8 win team next year.

And that's what kills me -- he could, conceivably, become the best QB in the league with the right coaching and the right supporting cast. He's the first hybrid QB-athlete whose hype I believe because the tape and mechanics back up his billing.

And while his talent will still show at the NFL level, he'll be stunted by the lack of a supporting cast and a piss-poor coaching staff in Washington. No matter how many big-name free agents they bring in, we know that they'll fail because the coaches and front office have no idea what they're doing.

Mike Shanahan is not the coach he once was. The front office will always suffer as long as Daniel Snyder keeps meddling in the team's affairs, even if they brought in Ozzie Newsome or Jerry Reese or any F.O. guru.

I don't know about all of that... I say they win 4 games at most. The Eagles will be better, the Giants already showed that they are better in the postseason, and the Cowboys should have a rebound season.

RG3, meet Babin (Eagles), Ware (Cowboys), and Tuck/Pierre-Paul (Giants).

You think he'd do any better if the Colts shocked the sports nation and actually took him first? Where would be a likely place to succeed for RG3

The redskins sweeped the giants last year but they did get swept by the eagles and cowboys. In the nfc east, anything is possible in any season

The Giants also lost to Seattle. They had an injury-plagued year, but we all saw how they came together in the postseason.

The Colts' lack of preparation for the absence of Peyton Manning aside, I think Indianapolis has a better front office and (on paper) a better coaching staff than the Redskins. If I'm RG3, I'd rather go to Indy than Washington, especially since Indy has the weaker division of the two.

Wow, the rams will have two 1st round picks for the next 3 years if that trade goes through.
This year they will only have one first rounder, and the next two years they will have two.

Cam Newton?

I think you're right about the Skins. At this point they only significant they can do is make a laughing stock out of themselves and drive player salaries up.

I think this move was necessary. People can complain but the skins already have a good defense and mark my words, RG3 will be a beast when the pieces are finally in place for him to succeed. People can scoff at this now but he has decent size with Vick like speed and an incredibly accurately arm. Not only is it accurate but he can THROW. If the Skins are smart they pick up a pair of FA wrs with the talent available. Say they get v Jax and Meachum with Moss and their depleted wide receiver core all of a sudden doesn't look that bad with an already stout run game. Now some may say its crazy to make those FA moves but their firsts for a while have been spent as well as I think this years 2nd which was wasted on McNabb so why not make the moves? This move will be looked at better than the Julio Jones experiment down the line which I'm still laughing at.

So how do you guys think RG3 will do in Washington in his first season?
Even though he's got the athleticism to avoid pressure and sacks more than the average QB, he'll still need good protection. He's already got good complementary receiving targets in Moss, Davis and Helu. If the organization acquires a quality WR in free agency or the draft, he should have a big season.

I see Washington signing Ben Grubbs in FA, as well as Lee Evans. They love our cut players.

Lol. All jokes aside, I could see them actually get those two. I definitely think they will acquire one FA WR & another in the draft.

At least with all those draft picks out of the picture, the Redskins can focus more of their cap space towards terrible FA acquisitions instead of 1st round draftees.

I'm actually kind of hoping the Colts take RG3, just so I can watch the Redskins FO scramble to decide if they want to take Luck.

The Rams could possibly get the 1st draft pick next year. RG3 is good but do we really know that he will be freaking amazing? I don't think he is worth that much draft picks. This is outrageous.
