I tried to tell people in one of my Mock drafts that Moss can still play. Moss dominated his work out. He ran 45 routes he was cutting sharp, running fast, and catching evvverything. Now people will see that Moss isnt old and washed up.

Another case of "lets overreact to free agency"-rrhea.

I don't think signing Moss would be an overreaction, if that's what you mean. At least not for the Ravens. If he comes inexpensive he would be a great pick-up for us and could really boost our game. I think he would do very well here with Flacco throwing him the ball. He's the only free agent WR I'd actually want. Besides him, I want us to draft 2 WRs. Even with him, I want us to draft two WRs. One of them can be "injured" at the end of training camp like Harewood has been. Another phantom injury isn't an impossibility.

The Patriots had him and they were better without him. The Vikings got him and he did nothing. The Titans got him and he did nothing. But now he does a few cuts in practice and he's a good free agent signing? Sorry, I don't think so.

The Vikings had a terrible QB throwing the ball. The Titans were in the middle of the Fisher-Young drama. The Patriots traded him because they got a pick for an older player, which is their MO. They also didn't need him, or at least didn't think they did and perhaps they did not. They sure could have used him in that AFCCG, though. That's for sure.

My opinion on him hasn't changed because he caught some good balls & made some nice cuts. My opinion on him is if he is good enough & impresses us & comes with a cheap contract then he is a good fit for us. Signing Randy Moss to a contract without anything guaranteed to a team in need of playmaking WRs is a good move. I guarantee you Moss would have held onto the Evans strip.

My opinion is that there's no way he impresses our team and probably not any team, especially with so many better FA WRs out there, who I don't want anyway. I'm not even going to bother with this any further because this is going to go the same as all 20 other threads about getting a receiver. Let the Saints get Moss if they want. I will not be scared of them.

Lol, if he doesn't impress us then that's the end of the Moss discussion. I mean, when Randy is good he is good. We all know about when he is bad. I think it depends on his motivation. If someone is motivated enough, like he was when he was good with the Pats, then some things go to the side. This could be that situation for Moss.

Personally, as I have said in almost every FA WR discussion, I really don't want to go to FA for a WR, but for Moss I would make an exception if he was good enough. It wouldn't be a long-term deal. Honestly, I would only want it for a 1-year deal. I think he's worth a 1-year try it deal with no commitment. If he doesn't work out we cut him and that's it.

I'd like to see Flacco to Moss.

Everyone knows that a motivated Randy Moss is unstoppable. That hasn't changed, even with age.

Moss isn't playing for money, so there's a good chance he'll play for cheap. He won't ask for more than $2 million for a one-year or two-year deal.

Randy Moss is motivated right now. It wouldn't surprise me to see him rebound well with another team. I just wouldn't expect him to put up monstrous numbers; he's strictly a third-down and red zone target. He's not a #1 receiver anymore, but he'd certainly be valuable on the field on any down.

Too bad they don't have him doing routes on his attitude during those practices. Watching him throwing fits on the side-line, so America can see why so many teams had him sitting on the side-lines.

[quote name='SpearSrai' timestamp='1331090402' post='1014138']Randy Moss would have caught that touchdown. All I'm saying.

He never threw fits when his team was winning...

And it's impossible for a Flacco-led team to miss the playoffs...

So there's that.

Randy fits exactly what Cam wants. Big, fast, plays outside the numbers, redzone target. Plus he has some of the best hands in NFL history. One a one year deal, if he behaves, why not take a look at him?

Randy Moss tries out for the Saints but signs a 1 year deal with the 49ers.

So Alex Smith to Randy Moss.

This is a terrible fit for Randy Moss. A run first offense with Alex Smith at QB is not going to maximize what he has to offer and he's probably going to wind up being trouble for that team.

I like Moss, I think he'll do fine there regardless the QB. Smith looked improved last year, especially at home. Next year he should only improve now that he has the same coaching staff for more then a year. I think their offense will became more dynamic, and Moss will help open the run game.
Moss/Davis/Crabtree.... some big recievers right there.

No way is this a smart move for a young (experience wise) QB who is considered a game manager! Good luck, Jim, Alex!

At least we don't have to hear the Moss bandwagon spouting off about how he'd be a good fit here anymore.

Good luck, Randy. Good luck, Niners. This is going to be an interesting pairing.

This makes no damn sense.

Moss = greatest deep threat to ever walk the planet
A. Smith = Chad Pennington

so much for my dream of Flacco throwing bombs to Moss

I think Jim Harbaugh is going to play QB for the 49ers this year.
