One can only hope..

But would that mean that the Browns become the new Steelers..?

We're the new Steelers. We took their template and beat them over the head with it.

I don't think he's any closer to retirement than Ed is. I think his career is on the downside now after all the injuries he's had and the fact that he won't have as much talent around him meaning he won't get to roam around as freely, being the jack-of-all-trades playmaker. I wouldn't jump for joy if he retired and wouldn't be worried if he doesn't.

On the Steelers as a whole, I think Todd Haley is going to be the biggest obstacle for them this year. I know Steeler fans haven't been big Arians fans but there's already been reports that Haley is really re-doing the offense and that it isn't going over well with the players yet.

Roethlisberger in particular has been vocal. Drama seems to follow him.

Usually the problem that gets a team is the one no one expected. When Petyon Manning is out for a season it's a different story, but as far as the Steelers go I think it will be the offense and not the defense like everyone expects. And by offense, I don't mean that they can run or throw the ball, but it'll be dysfunctional because they don't like Haley.

well installing a completely different offense is difficult you might be right about Haley being the biggest obstical

I have not seen one report or player coming out and saying that they dislike Haley. I have seen a couple places that the skilled position players have said that they love the new play book.

They will still have to show that it works on the field but with Haley's track record as an offensive coordinator, I am going to say they won't be very dysfunctional.

The thing about having an elite quarterback is that, even if you cut all of his weapons, he will just turn the new guys into weapons.

ARE YOU LISTENING, JOSEPH VINCENT FLACCO?
[/quote]

What do you think Joe did after losing Heap and Mason????

As long as Dick Lebeau in charge of the Steelers defense, the Browns have no chance to be equal to the Steelers....

When Dick retires, doors are open for the Browns....
