Of course they do. Ryan loves JJ. Problem is their locker room was a mess. JJ also spoke to Mase I am sure. I don't think JJ goes to the Jets, Ryan or not. I think he will stay here or could be lured to Pagano.

My gut says he stays.

I believe he stays here because he also wants to be here. He was at the State of the Ravens. He wouldn't have been there if he didn't care about coming back. Surely he knows the Colts or Jets would want him due to Ryan & Pagano.

JJ said he wants to stay in Bmore and now with Ozzie saying they would be willing to have him back I could see him returning...I dont think anyone can lure him away if he really wants to stay here

If JJ stays here, and takes less then what the Jets would offer him. He would become probably one of my favorite players. I want to hear him say publicly "I dont want to get involved with that mess."

The way Rex talked about JJ after we beat them in MNF I thought Rex was going to ask him out for the Prom. It sickens me how the Jets vulture our players. I wonder how Mike annenbaum feels about Rex twisting his arm to make their team like ours by stealing our players every chance they get....

its not just the Jets a lot of teams around the league like to pick off guys from our defense...thats why its so hard to keep them all

Its kinda win/lose. I would like him back but I want to see Kruger play more. I also want McClain back, but the only way that happens is if we cant sign Grubbs. ugh. What would be better? McClain + Johnson resigned or Grubbs? I just want someones opinion because thats what I was wondering all day lol

thats how i feel, he'd have to come back for league minimum or close to it...he's getting older and he's not getting better and he's not a great pass rusher, i think we can upgrade his position easily but he's a solid veteran so who knows

That may be true. It just appears to occur more often with the NY Ravens these last couple of years than with other teams.

Not at all surprised. JJ is one of the closest players to Rex.

Honestly I'm more surprised that the talk has been more about him possibly following Pagano to Indy than there has of him joining up with Rex.

How many former Ravens have actually worked out for Rex Ryan?

Jim Leonard - injury-prone
Bart Scott - trying to get rid of him
Marques Douglas - lol
Trevor Pryce - LOL
Derrick Mason - lasted, what, 4 weeks?

Maybe it's just time to stop?

He has a crush on us... after all this time.

That's also not mentioning some unmemorable players they've claimed (Eron Riley), wining and dining Todd Heap, and taking a few coaches. Did you know Matt Cavanaugh is their QB coach? Hilarious but further explanation as to why Sanchez is so terrible.

I'm split on JJ. I would love to have him back but at what cost? If we re-sign JJ, who do we lose? I also think it's time for Kruger to show what he has. Kindle is working toward being a bust and Kruger has been effective for us. I like to see Kruger take over and just to let JJ walk but at the same time I want him back but I just don't want to re-sign him if it means losing a key player.

I might be in the minority, but I want JJ to stay! He still sets the edge better than anyone. There is no doubting his heart and his durability (170 or so consecutive starts), and he is one of the communication keys on this defense. JJ is an intregal part of this defense. I would hate to see JJ in that green cluster muck known as the Jets.

I have heard JJ say on a radio interview right after the NE game that he wants to come back, still has alot in the tank, and wants to retire a Raven someday. Come on Oz, make it happen!

Sorry to say but JJ will be a 1st down player only if he comes back. The FO wants to get younger and faster at LB. JJ is neither of those, and was never fast.

It happens with a lot of players that leave Baltimore..they go to other teams and never play as well..the one exception recently is Dawan Landry in Jacksonville..he still put up his usual numbers and their defense was pretty good

JJ is the ultimate role player. I would hate to see him go but he's not getting any better than last year.

I still smile everytime I think of the heap invite. Todd gets a free meal and goes somewhere else lol, if jj is released it'd be awesome if he did the same thing to ol Rex

Looking at that list, only Pryce and Mason weren't actually drafted by us. If JJ goes there, that will be the fourth player who was drafted by and had a decent run with the Ravens who went to the Jets. Maybe Rex knows that he and/or Mike Tannenbaum can't draft well - aside from Revis and maybe Dustin Keller, he's picked some pretty poor players - Kyle Wilson, first round and now buried behind Revis and Cromartie, The Sanchize, Wilkerson didn't do a whole lot last year in spite of starting 16 games - I mean Pernell McPhee had similar stats, he had 10 less tackles but 3 more sacks, and that's with limited PT - Kruger didn't start a single game and still had 6 sacks. I mean this was a 6th round rookie draft pick and a guy most people came into this year thinking "total bust" totally outperforming a first round pick. I think the real reason he keeps signing our castoffs is he knows his draft choices aren't getting the job done and he thinks that maybe we might let somebody go prematurely.
