Ah, how can you not love the start of FA? Luckily, I'll be in class through 4 so hopefully I come back to tons of news. The crappy part of the off-season gets a little less terrible today.

IDK about that. We'll probably be more depressed come the end of the week. Grubbs, JJ and McClain will probably be gone. We wouldn't have brought anybody in, maybe a middle of the pack guy. We'll lose that 'hope' we possess right now.

Yeah I get done class at 3:30 and it takes me about 20 minutes to get home so I'll be coming home in time for the start of Free Agency. Hopefully the Ravens are able to re-sign Ben Grubbs before 4PM.

Who do you guys think will be the team who makes big enough signings where they are the "On Paper Super Bowl Champions"?

The Bears are going after a big name, they want Mario Williams. The Bears are the favorites to land DE Mario Williams, man that would be one hell of a pass rushing combination. Peppers on one side and Mario on the other side? Look out Aaron Rodgers, Jay Cutler and Matthew Stafford.

Well I'm expecting at least 2/3 of those guys to be gone - toss-up between JJ and McClain. I just meant in general, I think there'll be a big splash in the league. Someone gobbling up players like V. Jackson or Nicks.

Well I think we can take The Redskins out of the hunt for Vincent Jackson now that they have less cap room. I still think Dallas will be able to sign Cortland Finnegan or Brandon Carr. I'm definitely interested in seeing where Mario Williams goes.

Bills GM said that he hopes to make a big splash in Free Agency and specifically mentioned the Defensive End position. You think the Bills would be in the mix for Mario Williams? That would be a sick defensive line with Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams already on the line, but you add Mario Williams and that is a solid pass rush.

Well I'm trying to finish up an essay and at the same time have my TV on NFL Network and I try to post any re-signings when I can.

$40 Million for Colston seems like a 'hometown discount' because I would imagine he could have gotten way more on the open market.

I dont think he would have gotten significantly more with is injury history, and questions regarding how much of his production was due to Brees, but a Santonio Holmes type deal was probably not out the question for him.

I think to Bears strike big in FA. They've been talking about Williams and definitely need some receivers.

So the Bears are out of the Vincent Jackson sweepstakes. That is a great deal for the Bears to get Marshall for only two third round picks.

How can he get traded BACK to the bears, if he was never a Bear.

Nevertheless, interesting move by the Bears. Good for them.

Gee, "hey Peyton we want you in Miami but um we are going to trade away your number one receiver but we still want you." This was a dumb move by the Dolphins, they want Manning but trade away a receiver????

I would have to believe that Cutler okay'd this deal. They always seemed to get along. Both guys know they can move the ball with each other.

NFL Network is talking how Marshall being traded leaves the door open for a Manning-Wayne package deal in Miami.
