Was just going to post this as well. Troy p will be gone next year as well I think. I think next season the while defense could have turned over from last season. Starters anyway.

There in trouble, and I'm not sure if I'm happy. I want the rivalry to still mean something. I want them to be fighting with us for the division. I just thing this year or next they are going to drop off big time

I can't agree more. I want our biggest rival to remain such. I would hate to lose that, even if I hate them.

Can you imagine, though, if they lose Wallace to someone like NE? They would have two 1sts. I could see them doing some damage there.

Pittsburgh's FO is looking really bad right now. I don't know how to fix it. This restructuring has really hurt their team more than I initially perceived. They will still be competitive because they are the Steelers, but I see this as a warning to not get into this situation. I hope we continue to avoid restructuring deals.

Thing is though, all restructuring does is delay the inevitable and pushes it to future seasons where it will once again cause trouble. Now releasing players solves the whole problem. I bet some of these players will come back on cheaper contracts but I think the Steelers may also do what we did last year and start to get younger on the team. The main thing is that they are trying their best to get under the cap enough to either Franchise Mike Wallace or even match an offer from another team if they tender him.

I won't be surprised if they draft Dontari Poe at 24(if he makes it that far) and cut Casey Hampton afterwards knowing they have a replacement for him. It's not going to be a completely new Steelers team but they will get younger though.

- No way Troy Polumalu leaves Pitt. They will definetly find a way tobring him back next year.
- I think PITT might be just as good, if not better next year. They have a bunch of young guys who will now be starting. Similiar to the Ravens last season. I think they'll do fine.
- If Cortland leaves Titans then that really hurts Tennessee. It might be good for us though because any team that may of thought about going for Webb, could maybe now focus on him? - Falcons should try and get him.

I don't know what you mean by that but this thread is specifically for all Free Agent news, signings and releases that happen. Instead of having different threads for each signing, we keep it all here so we don't have a bunch of threads taking up the entire Other NFL Teams section.

Peyton Hillis describes "low ball offer" he got from the Browns last year. Now Hillis said they offered $25 Million or $26 Million over four or five years but Hillis claims that the contract would have only paid out $1.2 Million per year over the first three years of the contract which meant that the Browns could have cut him before they had to pay him the big time money. Talk about CHEAP!

Seems like Marshawn Lynch isn't getting the Franchise Tag after all as and the Seahawks agree to a 4 year $32 Million contract with $18 Million guaranteed. With $32 Million, that can buy every Season Ticket Holder, and the entire team(including the coaches) all the skittles they want, or he'll just take that money and buy out the entire Skittles factory.
