I guess we are using this thread, I noticed you made two Free Agency threads. Did you have a problem posting it and that's why you posted it twice?

Anyway, this is a good saver by putting everything in here. I was just about to make a thread for Brooks signing a 6 year deal with the 49ers until I saw this thread. Very good deal by the 49ers to lock up Brooks. Brooks and Aldon Smith are going to make for a great pass rushing duo there in San Fran. They have plenty of cap room, and now they need to lock up Alex Smith as quickly as they can. I hope the 49ers snag Mike Wallace away from the Steelers, then I can root for Mike Wallace lol.

a 1st Round Tender on Cary Williams? I can see it on Webb without a doubt but on Cary, no. I would tender Cary a 3rd rounder.

Am I the only surprised by the fact that no team has used the Franchise Tag on any player yet? Teams can not place the Tag on anyone after March 5th, and it's now Feb 29th. These teams need to hurry up and either get long term contracts done or figure out who they will use the tag on real quick.

I'm sure teams already know who they're going to tag or if they're going to tag anyone at all. As for long-term contracts, rushing them only weakens leverage.

Here's a real surprise... The Jets will pursue Ravens LB Jarrett Johnson... /sarcasm.

Also Mike Wallace is most likely to receive a 1st Round Tender, not the Franchise Tag. Adam Schefter confirmed this on Sports Center. With Hines Ward cut, I really now want to see someone offer Pittsburgh a 1st for Wallace because they would have no offense. Come on 49ers... come on Jim use that 30th pick on Mike Wallace. We'll forgive you for giving the Steelers another first round pick in this case.

Steelers release DE Aaron Smith, per Schefter.

Now I think this is a good move for the Steelers. I thought Ziggy Hood played well when Smith was injured and thought Hood should have been starting by now.

how do you get these updates so fast? lol
I "Liked" Adam Schefter's Facebook Page and I follow him on Twitter so whenever he posts something to Twitter or Facebook, as long as I'm on either of those sites at the time I can see them. Actually his FB and Twitter are linked so whatever he posts on Twitter goes on his FB page as well.

From PFT, Falcons are close to signing DE Kroy Bierman to a new 3 or 4 year deal. It is expected to be done within the next 36 hours....

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/01/kroy-biermann-expected-to-re-sign-with-falcons-soon/

The Bears have cut OT Frank Omiyale.

I find it interesting that the Raiders tagged Branch considering they are over the cap and have to make some cuts to get under the cap.

how are they over the cap? apart from Mcfadden and Seymour who else they got? the cut routt, didnt resign nmandi, palmer must be on a huge contract? or are they still feeling the affects of J Russell.

I suppose thay had a lot of early picks, that havent panned out, so a lot og "bust" type players that were picked high are on huge contracts. Thank god for this new CBA, that will help bring real parity to the league imo

Kamerion Wimbley has a huge contract and will likely be released unless he restructures. Tommy Kelly too.

man DHB, rolando mcclain and michael huff are on a huge contract too.. Im Assuming they were all early first round picks? at least this wont happen with the new cba. Them three guys, plus the two you mention, along with carson palmer must account for almost 100mil of space lol
