Ozzie waited around last year and look what he came up with. We dont see what goes on behind the scenes but trust me, Ozzie is not idle. Hes working his magic as we speak!

@ravensman11,thanks man,you save me a whole lot of typing,Also just this, patience is something that Ozzie has mastered! just off the subject a little Ozzie will be in the hall of fame again as an executive, just off his body of work alone as it stands. Here is something else to consider, often it is spoken of the influence certain individuals have over the league be it in developing players,an/or teams, but in Ozzies' case we have also to look at how he has trained for lack of a better word, those around him to work as one,as a team, how he has allowed his personnel to contribute to the process of developing building the team,he hires people and have confidence enough in them to allow them do their job,he values their input. Ozzie has instilled a system of doing things that can only be described as the 'Ravens Way' He learned the game from the ground up and he shares that knowledge with others, plan and simple 'I trust the man knows what he is doing'!

Do some of you guys really not understand how free agency and salary cap work? Everyone wants Ozzie to spend the money or these guys but it just can't happen. We still got the draft to go through and most of you want big names out of the draft and free agency, it's just not going to work. People who think we are going to get worse couldn't be more wrong. We are not losing that huge of players aside from Johnson and Grubbs. We still have the keys to the game for the most part. We won't be that bad especially after the draft is over. Everyone needs to just relax and know that Ozzie will do the best for the team. If he wasn't he wouldn't be in the position he is in. Before you guys start ripping on him for what he is doing stop and think about the operations of the teams and how things work.

i tottaly agree im right there with u we would not have this good of a team if ozzie wasnt hhere ozzie wouldnt b in this position if he didnt do things right and hes doing things right he has drafted good players and signed players with positions we need he can do us well and i c ozzie going after ted ginn or if lee evans comes back he didnt do to bad in postseason games i can c him coming back or us going after ted ginn but i tottally agree and do we have a 4th round pick this year?

Some of you guys complaining and losing trust in Ozzie is starting to make me mad. Didn't any of you guys see what happened last offseason? We dumped a bunch of our starters and either got cheap replacements or moved guys up the depth chart. And what happened? The replacements did as well or better than the guys they replaced. I would love to keep most if not all of our veteran FAs but sometimes you have to let guys go or at least let them test the market. Its not like any of our guys have signed with other teams yet, and for all you know we could keep all of them (highly unlikely though). Lets just be patient, if we resign some of them, thats good. If they go somewhere else, oh well, we'll find somebody to replace them like we always do. And for those of you asking why we never go out and sign these superstar players (like Mario Williams) or make trades for superstars (like Marshall), its because we already have tons of stars on our team that we have to pay. Suggs, Rice, Ngata, Flacco, Reed, Boldin, Lewis all either have or will have pretty substantial contracts and we can't exactly afford to get another guy that will demand top dollar. You see teams like the Bucs and Redskins making all these big moves for high priced FAs. But how many superstars do they have on their team that they have to pay? Not many and nowhere near as many as us. Thats why they have enough cap space to find all their superstars in free agency (even though that usually doesn't work well because not a ton of players do well in one place and replicate their production in another place). I'd rather find our superstars in the draft where we can get them to play for cheap and then decide if we want to pay them top dollar. Last point, for the few people saying that the Ravens might have a tough time making the playoffs next season: one, it is hard every year making the playoffs because only 12 out of 32 teams make it each season but us as fans have been lucky to have a great team for the past 4 seasons, two I think we will have just as great a team as last season if not better (especially if

The 200 Ravens had plenty of Free agents that were major contributors. (Woodson, Sharp, Adams just to name a few). Recently the Ravens mode of right player right price has made them competitve but not champions. Ravens more than any team could have used an impact receiver. At the end of the day, Ravens if the receivers corps were better, may have been to the Superbowl already. But year after year we sit on our hands and watch other teams trade for good players on bad teams. Why couldn't the Ravens trade 2 3rd round picks for Marshall, sign Meachem at least workout Moss? No more special team free agent Wrs please. Bengals and Texans are getting better and have more Cap space and draft picks. With the players we are going to lose, it may be tough to even make the playoffs this upcoming season. To early to panic but Ravens will be lucky to keep enough players they have let alone add someone to improve the team.

we cant sign those stars because we already have to many stars 2 pay

I am waiting on Ozzie to do his thing hoping that includes Ginn but ,,,, if not the draft is coming we desperately need a skilled punt returner. Everytime i hear nfl network say webb i jump out of my skin. Is anyone else sick of hearing about Peyton manning .... jesus?

Ted Ginn would be a great addition to special teams in order to free up webb and let him focus on being one of the best corners in the league for years to come.

If the teams needing a WR sign FAs, then the Ravens have a better chance to get a good one in the draft.

The Ravens almost never move early or big in Free Agency. The last time we did was for Anquan and let's be honest, that hasn't worked out nearly as well as we would have liked. That being said, I think Ozzie & Co. are working on keeping our own guys first. Once that's done, then we know what cap space we have to work with for other pieces. I think we can get Kassim Osgood and Ted Ginn for a steal. We just all need to be patient.
Last year the "sky was falling" when we cut four veterans - guess what? We went 12-4, AFC North Champs, AFC Championship Game appearance. Oz has never steered us wrong (except maybe in the WR department), so I trust him. When the dust settles, everyone in the league will once again be saying "How do the Ravens always find these gems?"

Just remember this too folks....last year they (all the talking heads) said our secondary was terrible, Pollard couldn't cover, Cody wasn't ready to replace Gregg, Pitta/Dickson were too green, McKinnie was too fat and Lee Evans was going to be the missing piece - They were wrong every...single....time....let's trust Ozzie - he know's what's best for this organization and believe me when I say this, Ozzie, Eric, Steve and the rest of the Ravens brass want another Lombardi Trophy way more than any of us...they'll make it happen, it's what they're paid to do....

Sorry I don't see the Ravens re-signing L. McLain. First, he does NOT want to be in a fullback position, which is why, thankfully, V Leach is here. Second, he does not want to be a back-up. And third, while I like the guy for the most part, he does seem to have a bit of an attitude problem. I say move on, and don't look back....

McLain is a good fullback but is a poor runner. He falls over at the slightest push. He does not have good balance and he trips over his own feet.

McClain wouldn't be signed here to be a full time fullback. He'd be a back-up running back and backup FB if Leach got hurt. And yes while he does want a full-time role, the market proved that that wasn't his calling and he did much worse in KC. Because nobody will really pursue him, he becomes a cost-friendly option. That plus knowing the system and having proved he could carry the load (900 yards and 10 TD's in 08 with us) are why it makes sense to sign him. I could care less if he comes back or not (not the biggest fan of some of the McClain for RB antics), just stating some reasons why he is a consideration.

We could defintely use Royal. Solves two issues. 3rd WR and special teams returner (although Ginn might be more explosive but he isn't nearly as good a receiver). If Royal goes to the Redskins he is dumb. He'd be better off taking less money to come here to a system that WINS, has a consistent verteran QB and won't be burried in the depth chart. Redskins already have added Garcon and Josh Morgan ON TOP of Santana Moss, Jabar Gaffney, Anthony armstrong and Leonard Hankerson (who some people here liked above Torrey). Typical dumb moves by the Redskins. Let's just add every Free agent we can afford while giving away three first rounders for RG3.

JJ dont go to New York! the locker room is terrible. Sanchez just got an extension so that means 3 more years of a mediocre QB, and fat boy rex is gonna get fired after he promises another superbowl and doesnt even make the playoffs.

I cant understand how after all this time anyone could doubt Ozzie and the FO. Ozzie posseses the geat gift of foresight and patience. It worked for him in his playing days and is working even better in his GM days. The Ravens maybe the tortoise at times but we continually beat these hare teams to the finish line. Why cant some of us exhibit the same patience that Ozzie does ?

The Colts and Redskins also have interest in Evan Mathis. But hearing this makes me think we are either hedging our bets regarding Grubbs in case we can't retain him or are preparing for his inevitable departure.

Oher's prognostications notwithstanding, I am afraid the latter is the case.

Evan Mathis is one of the best LG in the league. Sign him, we can get him cheaper than Grubbs too!

Rotoworld: "The Ravens are in the market for a starter with Ben Grubbs still in New Orleans. Mathis would approximate Grubbs' production at a fraction of the cost."

Seems Rotoworld is in agreement with you ...

Whose Rotoworld lol?

I dont know if any of you follow ProFootballFocus but they rank all of their players yadadada and they actually have Mathis as the #1 Guard in football. I myself think he is top 10 but he is definately better than Grubbs, and Cheaper.
