IMO I don't see how the Saints can offer Grubbs a better deal than the Ravens, Brees is due a monster contract and they just signed Colston plus they're going to get fined due to the bounty gate (draft picks or cap space?) doesn't make much sense to me.

I agree, I don't think they will be able to afford Grubbs.

Free Agency is the most overhyped part of the year. It's just players leaving good teams for bad teams to cash in. The most important part of Free Agency is trying to retain most of your guys. No one ever won a SB through Free Agency. The Draft, Training Camp, and Offseason preparation is where Championships are won.

We don't need Wayne or McClain. Wayne wouldn't exactly hurt us, but he is too old and he is not worth it. I would much rather have Eddie Royal, or Ted Ginn(preferably Eddie Royal). Both of them would offer more than just being a 3rd receiver, they have are both really good returners. For McClain, I don't really think we need the spitter back. He has serious attitude problems and thinks way to highly of himself. Plus, I thought he left Baltimore to get more running time anyway. I think Anthony Allen will offer us a lot, being Ray Rice's back up. He has a lot of potential. I have a strong feeling that Grubbs is gonna end up in New Orleans(unfortunately).

I am excited to see how free agency works out for us. With Grubbs gone if he

does leave maybe we would be able to get Vincent Jackson but I really would

love for us to resign Grubbs. Please! I repeat Please! LOCK DOWN WEBB. He has

the potential to have his own island like Darelle Revis. I would like to see

us stay young on offense and draft a big, physical, reciever instead of going

the old route again (see where that got us) and maybe add a pass rusher on

defense in say free agency.

How many of the teams that have signed these big name free agents have won super bowls lately?? None in the recent past. The top contenders every year are the ones who build through the draft and don't make the big splashes. They get the pieces they need and go on with their business. The Ravens, Steelers, Patriots, Packers are all good examples. I love the way the ravens do things, we will make our move shortly people, just let it die down a little....Ozzie has a plan

And another thing, how many players that have left baltimore have actually had success? Bart Scott isn't doing anything, hell hes getting replaced soon. Jim leonard isn't doing much, LeRon McClain didn't do crap. If the Ravens don't want them, that probably means they are not good enough to play for a contender anymore...

well, Wayne has gone back to Indy, and Royal is working things out with Washington. It makes more sense to build through the draft. We have 10 million in cap room, which gives us very little room for splashy moves, we will get our help through the draft or by building from within.

Reggie Wayne resigns with Colts.. Garcon going to the Redskins.. dont see us getting anybody to get "excited" for to be honest. Sure Eddie Royal or Ted Ginn can help us in special teams but WR.. not so much. Get ready for the draft.

Pretty sure people just saw the first line of your post and down voted it, I agree with you it's unlikely Grubbs will be back but I still want him =)

The 200 Ravens had plenty of Free agents that were major contributors. (Woodson, Sharp, Adams just to name a few). Recently the Ravens mode of right player right price has made them competitve but not champions. Ravens more than any team could have used an impact receiver. At the end of the day, Ravens if the receivers corps were better, may have been to the Superbowl already. But year after year we sit on our hands and watch other teams trade for good players on bad teams. Why couldn't the Ravens trade 2 3rd round picks for Marshall, sign Meachem at least workout Moss? No more special team free agent Wrs please. Bengals and Texans are getting better and have more Cap space and draft picks. With the players we are going to lose, it may be tough to even make the playoffs this upcoming season. To early to panic but Ravens will be lucky to keep enough players they have let alone add someone to improve the team.

At this rate, honestly, we can only get worse.. we're on the road to losing a lot of great players and the ones we have been looking at are leaving quickly.. The draft is going to have to be a HUGE success to get back to where we even were.

What is Ozzie suppose to do, wave a magic wand and make MILLIONS of dollars appear in order to keep all these FAs?!?!?!?

It's the worst cliche in the NFL, but this is a business and stuff happens like this. Look what happened last season, when all those Raven greats were shown the door. It seemed to me we were just fine then (making it to the AFC championship game) and we will be just fine going into this upcoming season!!!

We don't have a crap load of money like alot of these other teams have for free agency. So you play the hand you're dealt, and Ozzie plays a damn good hand 99.99% of the time. Having a star studded team like ours is like a double edge sword, I could care less what any of yall think, but I actually love that we have this problem on our hands, nothing like having a bunch of stars on your team!

Some of you guys complaining and losing trust in Ozzie is starting to make me mad. Didn't any of you guys see what happened last offseason? We dumped a bunch of our starters and either got cheap replacements or moved guys up the depth chart. And what happened? The replacements did as well or better than the guys they replaced. I would love to keep most if not all of our veteran FAs but sometimes you have to let guys go or at least let them test the market. Its not like any of our guys have signed with other teams yet, and for all you know we could keep all of them (highly unlikely though). Lets just be patient, if we resign some of them, thats good. If they go somewhere else, oh well, we'll find somebody to replace them like we always do. And for those of you asking why we never go out and sign these superstar players (like Mario Williams) or make trades for superstars (like Marshall), its because we already have tons of stars on our team that we have to pay. Suggs, Rice, Ngata, Flacco, Reed, Boldin, Lewis all either have or will have pretty substantial contracts and we can't exactly afford to get another guy that will demand top dollar. You see teams like the Bucs and Redskins making all these big moves for high priced FAs. But how many superstars do they have on their team that they have to pay? Not many and nowhere near as many as us. Thats why they have enough cap space to find all their superstars in free agency (even though that usually doesn't work well because not a ton of players do well in one place and replicate their production in another place). I'd rather find our superstars in the draft where we can get them to play for cheap and then decide if we want to pay them top dollar. Last point, for the few people saying that the Ravens might have a tough time making the playoffs next season: one, it is hard every year making the playoffs because only 12 out of 32 teams make it each season but us as fans have been lucky to have a great team for the past 4 seasons, two I think we will have just as great a team as last season if not better (especially if

I could see us going after Ginn I just wonder how much he would cost. And now the 49ers probably wont go after him cuz they got Moss.

...Flacco does better which I think he will), and three we have some very young players all over our team that are going to get better to replace any players that we lose through free agency. To sum up this whole post, I have four words: CHILL PEOPLE, TRUST OZZIE!

I hope we can get back Redding. I think some people are downgrading his performance. He might go to Indy though cuz of Pagano and the possibility of Freeney being traded

Do some of you guys really not understand how free agency and salary cap work? Everyone wants Ozzie to spend the money or these guys but it just can't happen. We still got the draft to go through and most of you want big names out of the draft and free agency, it's just not going to work. People who think we are going to get worse couldn't be more wrong. We are not losing that huge of players aside from Johnson and Grubbs. We still have the keys to the game for the most part. We won't be that bad especially after the draft is over. Everyone needs to just relax and know that Ozzie will do the best for the team. If he wasn't he wouldn't be in the position he is in. Before you guys start ripping on him for what he is doing stop and think about the operations of the teams and how things work.
