To wrm#1: at this point we have to give him another shot to prove something at camp because there aren't any return specialists left worth signing. We should definitely draft one-either Chris Rainey or the WR from Arkansas. And if David stinks it up at camp then cut him. And if he comes into camp with another injury this year like his wrist injury from a year ago then cut him-sorry to say but this is a business. He was one of my favorite players and I liked the pick when we got him but after last year, David really needs to show us something this year-so lets keep our fingers crossed. Also since Porter signed today we CANNOT lose Webb. If we lose Carey we should sign either William Gay or Keenan Lewis from the Steelers.

Also I don't understand why we haven't cut Cundiff yet to create more cap space. We can always get a kicker from the undrafted free agents.

There's a reason teams don't really do that...

It's become painfully clear that our top talent and key players to fill voids created by guys that left will come from within and this year's draft. This is not a bad thing at all.

Laquan Williams will easily fill the role that Lee "Butter Fingers" Evans had. He could and should also be our full time punt/kick returner.

I could go down the list but bottom line, we're going to be in great shape for the upcoming season.

Well with the lack of activity especially with not signing Ginn I guess we 1)love David Reed
... or, simply our offer was not as good for Ginn as that of the 49'ers...

2)will not lose Webb as we can match any offer on him.
That's still not automatic. We still don't have cap space, so if a team can offer him a front-loaded contract, we may not be able to match it, unless we have made a back-heavy deal with Rice, cut someone or manage to persuade a player to restructure. These are the only ways to free up cap room.

... plus the late waves of free agency, in late July and August, when the prices start falling. That's a traditional hunting season for the Ravens.

Yeah, i was all up for drafting Rainey too, until i found out that he is Rod "He Hate Me" Smart's little brother, and that he served jail time for sending his girlfriend death threats. Do we really want that kind of guy around?

Did you think about why we have so little free cap space?

Ozzie knows that players have bad games or sometimes years only to bounce back and be great. D Reed had a bad couple games but before that showed a lot of promise as our returner, Cundiff had a pro bowl season in 2010. If they come in this year and preform no one will remember 2011. Evans was sacrificed because he did nothing from the start. With so many Pro bowlers we have to pick and choose who to plug the holes with for less money. We all cant be the eagles. :)

It doesn't seem like he thought much about anything when he made that comment...

I'd rather have Doss or Williams returning kicks than "Fumblina" Reed. I was down on "Fumblina" after he coughed up the ball, but I'll cut him some slack because of the wrist injury. Maybe, he deserves a chance to compete if we decide to keep him. As a receiver, he has shown nothing. There are better options out there in the draft. I'm still high on Hill. He seems to be what we need. Wright might be a better option than Hill or Reed as a returner. Come on, Ozzie, I know you hear us!
