I really like the show MacGyver.

For those of you who aren't familiar with it, here are some basic facts:
*Follows resourceful secret angent Angus MacGyver and his friends/enemies at the Pheonex Foundation, a private foundation that works with the USA governement and police.

*7 seasons produced from 1984-1991

*Major actors include Richard Dean Anderson as MacGyver, Terri Hatcher as silly Penny Parker, Dana Elcar as Peter Thorton (MacGyver's boss and friend), Michael Des Barres as Murdoc (assassin enemy, very funny and eloborate), and Bruce McGill as Jack Dalton (silly, somewhat foolish friend of MacGyver, has several "Get-Rich Quick" schemes).

*I the final episode (I'd stop if you want it to be a suprise), give you a chance,

There. MacGyver finds out he has a son, who's mother was killed by a ruthless Chinese officer.MacGyver retires from his old life (with promises to "drop in"). The two presumably live happily ever after.

I really like MaccGyver's enemies. Murdoc was pretty awesome, allthough I thought it was over done in Cleo Rocks and when MacGyver saw him back in time in Season 5. Murdoc was shown in a bunch of episodes. I thought they should have shown Dr. Zeto more. He was very entertaining in the two episodes he was featured in.

MacGyver could get a little fuzy (the girlfriend parts, naa), and I hated the inner-city Challenger baloney. I like MacGyver out in rural areas and fighting Murdoc better than that drug and prostitute shm that showed up a lot in Season 7. (Probably because Daina Elcar couldn't play Pete as much because he was blind so they had to fill stuff up with that.)

Here's the theme that was used from seasons 1 through 3.

Seasons 4-7 (similar):

Because of this show I can readily make a booby trap, a weapon, or a complete escape vehicle out of everyday ordinary household products. I'm not a survivalist, I'm a macgyverist.

I used to watch it all the time over my grandparents house. Loved it. It's one of the main reasons I'm a fan of Burn Notice. Westen reminds me of a modern day MacGyver.

RDA is soo old now - he was on the show "Fairly Legal" and I didn't even recognize him. But I have to say, his mullet made me super jealous when I was younger. I always wanted hair like that - tried it, and it turned out badly. And I drove my parents nuts trying to build random "gadgets" out of old lawnmowers and stuff - most of that also turned out badly.
