In case you do not look at the coverpage of Baltimore Ravens:

Like always great perspective into the Ravens organization. He makes the same points as many of us on here. Talking about our team and where we are.

I liked the article, but its been said many times, everyone knows qb's struggle, especially early in their careers. However, fans are still going to be mad when Joe throws picks and we lose, If he throws 3 picks and we win it wont be as bad, but when losses mount up the troy fanboys will be calling for his head, thats how it goes

I really like his unpessimistic yet realistic views of the team.

People might like to point out that he's the Ravens' PR guy and is supposed to make the team look good, but keep in mind that he did not deny that Brian Billick's formula was not working in Baltimore, after Billick was fired. And he did not sugarcoat how bad the team looked in certain losses at the tail end of last season.

When he writes these editorials, it's not to sell us on the team -- we're already fans, so we don't have to be sold on the Ravens. Rather, he's giving us a different perspective so that we understand the organization's perspective of the product on gameday.

Remember, our initial opinions are based only on our perspective as fans, watching at home and in the stands. We don't know everything that happens behind the scenes, so it's easier for us to pass judgment.

Amen.
Yeah, good to know he's realistic. So if he says something's working out, it probably actually is.

I disagree. Technically, if you say something bad about Billick after he's been fired, that doesnt count as being unbiased. Billick was no longer a part of the organization. You could argue that he admitted Billick's formula wasnt working to help sell the idea that firing him was the best idea (not that he needed to). Unbiased to me would be saying these things as they are going on, not when its all said and done. I love Kevin Bryne but I dont think there can be a case made for him not being biased toward the Ravens. His job is to present a positive image of the organization to the fans and in the media and thats just what he does. I dont think he is making any of this up or anything like that but I do think he intentionally omitts anything negative just because thats his job. As many people as there are that have said Flacco is the real deal, there are just as many that say he's not but we wont hear that from Kevin Bryne.
I said the same thing Monday night, Eli's rating was worse then Joe's--yet Joe get shredded.
This is the best analogy going...Flacco compared to Eli Manning...Joe is doing a good job when compared to one of the game's best!!! Flacco will have his ups and downs just like Eli...after all they are BOTH only human.

I have a feeling Flacco will fare more success, more consistant success, and earlier consistant success than Eli, the promise he's showing us.

I agree D...Flacco is our best shot at an heir to the Johnny U heritage. I think he has what it takes and will only get better all the time, and that quickly, like you say. We just need patience with him.
