It's Official: Peyton Manning to Sign with Broncos (merged)

I thought Arizona would be a good fit. He's not gonna want to go somewhere cold where his neck might stiffen up. The Bucs might want to consider him. Put struggling Freeman on the bench and take advantage of the ticket sales while the rest of the Florida teams stink it up. Plus they only used like half their cap space this year.

I like Arizona as a good fit for Peyton, they are another dome team like the Colts so it wouldn't be much different. Also I think the talent is there in Arizona, we saw that with Kurt Warner. So now they would be upgrading from Warner to Manning and I think that gives them a better shot at competing now and even a shot at the playoffs once again. It will cost them their 1st round Pick in 2012 and many other picks but it will be worth it. Plus I'm not even sure who would be able to stop the combination of Manning to Fitzgerald. That would be a great deal for Indy, take Luck at # 1, then use Arizona's 13th Pick which they would get in the trade for Manning on a Offensive lineman like Luck's Stanford teammate Jonathon Martin or even a defensive player.

I could see Arizona as a good fit. Throwing to Larry Fitzgerald would be unstoppable. They certainly have some QB issues over there.

I seen someone post about manning in a ravens uniform. Hypothetically speaking if he wanted to come here and start, what would we do?

He wouldn't. We wouldn't waste our money when we have Joe. Unless he wants next to nothing I don't see us shedding out any money to get him. Even if Baltimore is the only place he wanted to play (hypothetical of course).

John Skelton is actually pretty underrated. If they really want Peyton, they should trade Kevin Kolb much like they traded for him last year and get as much in return as possible.

Peyton as a starter with Skelton on the bench, and all of a sudden, you've got something really good going.

It would be extremely difficult to turn down in my opinion if he was healthy and didnt cost an arm and a leg. I mean Peyton is Peyton, he's dirty and that's just all there is to it.

Peyton will be going back to the Colts. I have pretty good sources telling me that.
Who are these sources?

Everywhere else seems to be saying it's Luck or Manning and that they're going Luck.

Zero point zero percent interest in my opinion
UNLESS he trades the uniform in for a polo shirt and takes on the QB coach position. That idea I like.

I saw on ESPN that Irsay said Manning should have kept his feelings "in the family". Kinda hard to do when the family he knew was fired. Shady organization is gonna get exactly what its asking for after they let Manning go. Zero play makers without Manning equals a stagnant team without him. Didn't they learn anything from this season. For Luck I hope he does well. For the Colts, I pray he ends up being the next Ryan Leaf

Yeah, I heard about that and I don't expect the Colts to keep Manning. They're probably hoping the doctors come back and say he's still not healthy enough to play so they can cut him and save face.

I kind of hope it turns out he can play and ends up elsewhere in the AFC south.

Titans, to help Jake Locker?? Though whats Hasselbeck's contract length/money?? Jags are an option, but that team is so dismal that they probably would need more than just Manning to get to the playoffs, let alone win a playoff game. They have Jones-Drew, but thats pretty much it there.

Wow.... so much for a Trade and trading Peyton Manning. It has come out that the Colts plan on CUTTING Peyton Manning BEFORE the Scouting Combine.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/01/28/report-decision-on-peyton-mannings-future-made-weeks-ago/

Jim Irsay is a bigger idiot than I imagined. So instead of trading Peyton Manning to get a bunch of extra picks, including what could be another first round pick, they are going to just cut him. This is plain stupid.

Thats not happening. Manning will be back with the Colts next year.

I'm going to laugh so hard if they end up cutting Manning, he is healthy, the Colts Draft Luck and then Luck uses a power play to get out of Indianapolis by refusing to play there, therefore leaving them with absolutely no QB.

I'd laugh if he were to pull a John Elway on them... lol.. that would set their franchise back at least 5, if not 10, years.

If I were Indy I'd cut or trade Peyton Manning, draft Andrew Luck, and sign a veteran QB. Keep Reggie Wayne; great WR for Luck to grow condfidence in. Anyway, I hope Chuck Pagano and Indy suck. Johnny U!

I'll tell you what, with a new coach in there, Pagano's gonna want a young guy he can share his career there with. Not a vet who's gonna be calling all the shots for half of the team.

Here's something interesting, Peyton is 'struggling' with his health and is having a hard time getting healthy.

http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/227199/report-peyton-manning-struggling-w-health?rw=1

If he can't get healthy enough, you think he'll retire?

If Peyton can't get healthy he won't have a choice in the matter. As good as he is, if he can't play teams aren't going to pay him.

These are possibilities ONLY if Peyton is healthy enough to play!!! I don't think even Snyder would take that kind of a risk...well wait...nm...I'm talking about the guy who grossly overpaid for Fat Albert...

I think Manning should just retire. I'm sure this isn't an easy time for him because he is such a competitor but if his health is that much of an issue and uncertainity, it's time, big guy. Go out while your legacy is still intact (unlike some other QB drama queen.....will not mention his name...)

Peyton Manning "very encouraged" with Rehab and plan on playing in 2012... but where?

Fitz & Manning have dinner. Maybe we could see Peyton in Arizona wearing red & white rather than blue & white.

It would be hard to imagine after Kolb's blockbuster deal.
