Skins Fans Outraged

after reading this article i went to see what the slur faithful had to say....

my favorite quote
Mods - is there anything we can do about this? Who can we complain to?

I will be at the game, so while it doesn't affect me, I'd be FURIOUS if I were a Redskins fan attempting to watch this on television.

The Redskins have been here since 1937. The Ravens - 1996. That's 59 years of history being absolutely spit on by CBS.

There must be something we can do.
does this guy know that the nfl has no respect for history?

Yea it's pretty sad. We have to deal with this all the time. In fact I live in Maryland, and sometimes I do not even get the Ravens game at all.

What the hell does history have to do with it anyways? It's all market share. But they do not really need to worry. This game will be filled with running plays. That will make the clock speed down faster. We'll clear their precious airtime anyways.

I really don't want it to happen, I want a Ravens BlowOut, but it would be funny as Crap if the game went to OT like last year, especially if it chewed up like 10+ minutes of OT!

I like this quote from the article:
It's a unusual scenario -- the Ravens potentially pre-empting the larger-market Redskins on their own turf -- that has Redskins fans aghast.
That is unusual. At least they will get to watch the game eventually. I so hope we go into a long game with overtime that is played to a tie (do they even do that anymore?) just in spite of the Redskins fans. But I would prefer a win in a short game ofcourse.
"The Ravens need to lose early and fast," another fan wrote.
Thanks for the support.

If it went to overtime the Skins fans would really be angry. Theyd probably only get to watch the last 4 minutes of their teams game. lol..

Thats true. In Salisbury, sometimes if the Ravens are playing on Fox at the same time as the Skins, our local station will air the Skins game.

On another note, if Skins fans dont like competing for airtime, they should move themselves and their team TO D.C., where it belongs.

it always amazes me how the 4skin fans always make things more complicated than it should be... i seriously doubt this game will go into OT. It will either be a blow out for the fish or a close game for the ravens, and we will lose by a FG again

lol  I think that if and when we pulverize their run offense, Jason Campbell and his 17th-t ranked offense will have to take charge, where he'll complete passes to Reed, Mcallister, and/or Fabian. lol

Soooo...Redskins fans are complaining about the possibility (not guarantee) of missing the first few minutes of their game against the Browns?

Overtime preemption of a late game has almost never overlapped over an entire first quarter of a football game. The fact that there's no double-overtime in the regular season almost guarantees that it'll never go longer than the first quarter of a late game.

If I were (more of) a 'Skins fan, I wouldn't be so concerned about missing the first few minutes of a game, when the last few minutes of a game are much more important.

I so Much agree here. Why are they so worried about missing the first few minutes of the game? Unless I am mistaken and the first few minutes of a football game are the important minutes of the game, but I always thought the last few minutes of a game were the most important. I mean I live in North Carolina and I have never been able to watch a single Ravens game on tv all year. I am not complaining, I follow the game online and normally I wait until about theres 10 minutes left in the first, I log off the internet and come back an hour or two later to catch the final half of the game. So there's no reason for the Redskins fan to be complaining.

Skins fans need to stop crying about this, as others have noted, some of them live in MD and don't get Ravens coverage. So, yeah.... I can't wait until we play them in B-more!

If we have to win just one more game this season, I just want to beat the Redskins.

i don't even get to watch ravens games all the time. and i always get skins games. i hate them. more history? we really do have just as much history if you wanna consider when this team used to play in cleveland. but besides that, when was the last time they won a superbowl? at least we've actually won our division a couple times and won a superbowl in the last 10 years. the skins are just hype every year. they sign big name FAs every year, fire and hire new coaches every other year and have no chemistry. For the first time they actually decided not to trade away all their draft picks, but waste it on recievers, which was what they had the most depth at to begin with. They are in cap hell, in fact the worst in the league, yet they aren't even better than the champ giants, division champ cowboys or even the loaded eagles. The hype is nice, thats why they make more money than any NFL franchise. I like how they feed fake crowd noise too, despite having the largest NFL stadium. At least we don't have an owner who destroys team chemistry. We actually have players we drafted that are good. Screw the skins and their fans. We might lose all our games this season, but we're not going to lose to a team like the deadskins, the same team that lost to the worst team in the NFL last week.
