I disagree as well. What makes you feel like Blake, Brewster, Molk, & Vlachos can't be some quality centers? Lol, Brewster was formerly projected as a 1st round pick above Konz before this season.

Why is it dead money? I doubt he would get much guaranteed on a 3M deal over 2 years.

that would mean he doesnt get a signing bonus, since its spilt over the 2 yrs, i doubt he signs without a signing bonus, what if he gets injured in camp, or preseason and his career is done

Yep and I'm ok with it. Everyone is over reacting to how Wilfork handled Birk in the AFC Title game. It was like everyone didn't know Wilfork was a good player and seemed shocked and that because Wilfork does well it meant Birk was beginning to suck. This now means Center is taken care of for the next three years.

i cant get my head round it, the guy clearly cant last 19 games, and was thinking about retirement, and now we sign him to a three year deal... well that means no blake because he wouldnt be leaving until blake was 30 lol, almost be time to look for another one haha

i dont think he got handled because he was a superior player, i think birk was just wore down, we play them in the season this year, watch birk have a far better game against him because its earlier in the year

Just because he signed for 3 years doesn't mean he'll be here for 3 years. At 3M this isn't even putting a dent in the cap.

Also McMinnie may be getting either restructured or extended, apparently, to lower his cap number.
