Harewood Is Now Healthy

53 posts in this topic

I just finished reading the article about Harewood and finally being healthy... my question is does anyone believe that he would be able to move into another position like guard or would be the tackle of the future or just plain nothing at all. I did read that he is very athletic... played volleyball track and field soccer and cricket before becoming a football player.

Yeah from what I've heard he's pretty athletic and a raw talent, if he can learn the technique I think he can have a bright future due to his athleticism

Two seasons on IR, both knees had procedures and had an ankle injury
Pretty important for a lineman

Man, I'm unsure if he'll ever see the field again

I hope I am wrong

It's Harewood but who actually spells any names right around here?
But then we couldn't have any discussions about Cam smallowing pride and getting Bolton the ball in the playoffs after he reated up at the end of the season.

Oh I am sorry for the spelling I fixed it... posting from my phone and don't have much screen to see what I had typed and autocorret usually steps in and puts what it wants.

Didn't they say this at the start of this season as well? I was hoping last year he was going to be healthy to see what he could do but two knee surgeries on different knees for an o lineman has diminished my enthusiasm. They said he had a lot of potential but will have to wait til camp starts.

Sounds like Hearwood has great work ethic and passion, just needs to stay healthy.

I don't know, with his injury history, if Harewood has any real position outside of backup on the team. His presence does not mean we shouldn't draft a tackle this year if the right one is available.

I don't think anyone has the answer to the question "can he be our LT?" but he showed promise in preseason for 2 years now. Obviously PS is a lot different then going against guys like Harrison, but I would give him some serious work this preseason and maybe use him in that unbalanced look next year just to see how he does. And maybe he can replace McKinney in 2013 if he can stay healthy.

I'm really hoping Ramon can stay healthy this year. Constantly getting injured is never a good thing, but he definitely has a lot of talent. Still, I'd like to address the offensive line in the offseason somehow.

Those IR trips seem sort of fishy. They're probably trying to keep him without giving up a roster spot.

We can't rely on him going into the season. He is basically a bonus if he can contribute but our front offices is looking at his injury history and probably thinking they still need to bring competition at the tackle positions.

Not saying it's impossible for Harewood to contribute, heck who thought Cary would be a starter in the offseason?, just saying the deck is stacked against him.

I would love to see one of the prime tackles fall to us, but that position seems like it is the most coveted.

i think Harewood came from a small school and has been a project, as was said in the draft....i think he's been placed on IR two years in a row with 'injuries'

not sure but I think he's been healthy, just not ready to play
