Oh, please, "bulletin board material?" Gimme a break, you were 1-15 last season, you have no rights to using "bulletin board material" about your lack of success as a team LAST year where you clearly stunk up the league...

Ronnie Brown was injured all of last year...how can he take offense to those comments? Mabye he wasn't a good enough cheerleader...and their season was a direct result of that...now it makes sense.

Coach harbaugh looks like a good person, Im sure he did not mean it in a negative or offensive way. IMO I think they just using it to hype themselves up! <_<

If they need to use that as bulliten board material then something is seriously wrong. What he had to work with last season was a bunch of backups. Half Miami's starting roster was on IR, last year. These guys need to get their heads out their butts and just play football. Enough already.

Rookie mistake by a rookie coach!!! Yeah, they won 1 game last year but we didn't win all that much ourselves and the won game was against us. By they way, they have the same record we do right now. So we aren't in any position to hold our noses up. They have talent across the board and are a very, very dangerous team, especially if you take them lightly. Harbaugh needs to speak on what he and Cameron have to work with at quarterback for our team. Miami has a proven Qb, we don't!!!

[b]Moderator Note(With Illustration): Please use your caps lock. This is your first and last "nice" warning.

Well, we used the fact that the Steelers players didnt mention the Ravens in the AFC North competition, (before we played the steelers) as extra motivation to prove everybody wrong. Turning these things, even if it be silly, into motivation, really pumps up the adrenaline.

*sigh* I'm sorry, but can we please go ONE thread without speaking about the QB position?? <_<

Getting back on-topic, I don't think Coach Harbaugh's comments were inflammatory at all. Nothing even remotely resembling bulletin board material.

Honestly, I just think the Dolphins are disappointed that the Ravens players haven't given them the expected trash talk...YET.

The Dolphins have talent. They've shown that they're immensely improved from last season (which isn't hard to do). They're a dangerous team, and I mean that in all seriousness. They don't need bulletin board material, especially if they've really watched film on this past game against the Colts.

That game should give them all the confidence in the world. But then again, it's not as if the Ravens are pushovers, neither.

Should be an interesting game.

This thread has nothing to do with Qb talk, also NO ONE is taking them lighlty! As you mentioned we are in the same position they are in, record wise.

their is no mistake... these guys are getting a big head about themselves.. i dont see a insult or anything due to they had massive injuries and were working full season with backups, so like coach said they worked with what they had...
as far as im concerned when you go 1-15 you dont deserve any respect until you have shown everyone that you deserve it
Same thing with us going 5-11, though.

But, it's not as if I'm concerned with the team being respected by anyone but their peers.

Bingo, it wasn't meant as an insult to the players who, you know played, but more pointing out the fact that, like the Ravens in some ways last year, they were missing major players on both sides of the ball to injuries and as a result they "didn't have a lot to work with" ;)

Bit of a stretch for bulletin board material. A bunch of starters on IR last year = working with "what you have to work with." I see what they are looking at, but it's a bit of a stretch.

Hey, whatever works... LOL!

Joey Porter was on the team of last year. He didnt even give a comment b/c he knows hes going to get himself in trouble.... lol

He fires everyone up even more... and he is able to back it up now that we are using him in his real position 3-4 WOLB... instead of the exact opposite at 4-3 SOLB.

If they can use some **** like this to fire them up even more... good! :D

GO FINS!!!

Well to me it didnt even sound like he meant it in a bad way. It just sounded like one of the Fins players took it to the head and decided to use it as hype.

He doesn't speak for all of us. Mendenhall is no Ronnie Brown. I think Ronnie Brown is great, the guy can do it all. The Dolphins would be wise to revolve their offense around this guy for the next half decade.

The Ravens will definetly be practicing this week in limiting what Ronnie Brown can do. Luckily for the Ravens, our Run D is still fantastic. I doubt Ronnie will break our streak of 24 consecutive games without a 100+ rusher. If the Fins are to win this game, they need to exploit our injured secondary. Honestly, I do not even know who's ready to play back there.

The matchups I am looking at are:
Chad Pennington vs. Ravens Secondary (who is ready to play)
Dolphins Special teams vs. Ravens Special Teams
Ravens O-Line vs. Miami Pass Rush
Flacco vs. the world

7... until he tore his ACL on a fluke play while trying to make a tackle on an INT.

You think Ronnie is soft? lol

Well, it seems to me that the Dolphins felt the same way about their team as Harbaugh vocalized! After all, didn't the Dolphins get rid of over half their roster? Last I heard, they only had like 26 returning players- that means they cut 27, 35 if you count the Practice Squad!

lol wellllllllllllllllllllll if you take a look at the opposition we've faced thus far this season, 2 out of 3 contests, at some point during the game, their running back has gotten injured. Its something that a few of us have noticed on here, like we were back in the old days remember? but lets pray for a safe non-injury game haha.
