Overtime. Flyers always come back. Did it like 5 times this year. Flyers I think win this one.

You have no idea how many times I have watched that Voracek goal since yesterday. I might also have to break out my Danny Briere tshirt again.

My Flyers came out victorious...and against the hated Pen-goo-ins.

Great game, also Danny Briere is once again huge when the playoffs start! Cant wait for the next game! I'm still going to say that this is going to be a 7 game series though. It's the Penguins star power vs the flyers depth and talented youngsters...also something to think about here: why is 3 always the magic number for the flyers? They lead the nhl in 3 goal come from behind wins, they came back from 3-0 last night, they won that historic series against boston when trailing 3-0..and trailed 3-0 once more in that game 7. Crazy.

I think it just speaks to them being a team that doesn't stop working when they are down. Hopefully they now have some wind in the sails and can steal another one before coming back home for game 3 and 4

The franchise was in a spiral downwards, and could not afford the contract that Jagr had and was looking for after it would be finished. Which is why he was traded to the CAPITALS for a few draft picks and 3 players who I don't think ever suited up in a game for the Pens. The penguins couldn't afford to keep him, wasn't really anyones fault.

Great game Caps, little more offensive power next game and same goal tending from Braden will go a long way. Just couldn't get the offense going earlier.

Very true, although i'm proudly on the orange side of the rivalry, I do give the penguins endless credit for how they have been able to turn things around. I mean, in less than a decade they replaced the likes of Mario,Jagr,Barrasso ect with Crosby,Malkin,Fluery and a supporting cast that imo exceeds those early 90's cup teams (minus lemieux and jagr) can't wait for the second battle tonight!!!!!! Good luck!

Always nice to have a little luck too, winning the lottery to have dibs for Crosby, and the year before drafting Malkin with the 2nd pick who is also a franchise player. Hitting on there high draft picks like those two mentioned and Fleury and Staal, while also hitting late in the draft with guys like Letang, Goligoski(traded for James Neal AND Niskannen), Tyler Kennedy,

The Penguins actually operate much like the Ravens, draft well, sign upcoming players, fill in where needed(Cooke, Kunitz and Dupuis have all made major contributions since joining the team)
