2012 NHL Playoffs Thread

This might seem premature but in less than 2 months the NHL playoffs start. This is my 3rd time making this thread! YES! Anyway who do you guys think will make the playoffs and who will win the cup this year?
Of course once again Go Sharks!
Guess who the sharks play tonight? That's right the Caps! You guys should win if Neimi is playing. Niemi has been off and on. I really like our back up goalie from Germany, Thomas Griess. The thing he is really good at is puck control, which Neimi always sucks at. Shark fans are really starting to like Griess too.
So yeah...
Oh yeah watch out for Burns #88 tonight! He has been on fire lately.

yes! the game is on NBC network. I was busy but i have the game on now! Im glad griess is playing, neimi has not been sharp. Still anyones game right now. This long road trip for the sharks is crazy. Like 10 games away in a row? they need to win at least 7.

That was a fast shot. I didn't even see the puck so I have no idea how Griess could have lol.
Did you watch the Skills competition? Chara has a hard shot.

i think elliots bubble will burst, halak should be there #1 going into the playoffs regardless, home ice is key for them

i think the nashville hype machine gets ousted in round one, or maybe this will be the year they finally beat one of the big boys, but im not convinced, rinne definitely isnt playing at the level he was last year and there forwards arent the type that can win a series, especially with the tight checking in the playoffs

im liking a detroit van wcf
and a nyr pitt ecf, maybe bos if they can get there act together

Omg the Sharks have got 2 goals in the last 3 games. First Niemi poops and now we can not score when he plays good. The Sharks are just collapsing left and right here.

calgary showing some heart after a brutal home stretch that seemed to seal their fate, but amazingly they are still in this thing, if not for bad teams around them they may b done, sj just can not score, the whole team looks like the sedins right now[img]http://content.boards.baltimoreravens.com//public/style_emoticons/default/34853_doh.GIF[/img] , crazy.

colorado may sneak in with a young group that doesnt know any better, will prolly go out in the first round to van or stl, but still good for them if they make it.

pitt v nyr should be a great game even if crysby hype overshadows 2 of the best teams in the league going head to head, pitt is unbelievable to be without arguably the best player in the game, and letang, and continue to win

the hockey is getting so good now, its almost like playoffs before the playoffs and the intensity and quality of play really picks up

will be interesting to c what comes of the gm meetings, i actually suggested the hybrid icing to a friend of mine a few months ago, they must have heard me [img]http://content.boards.baltimoreravens.com//public/style_emoticons/default/wink.png[/img]

I love that the Caps have somehow strung together four wins, but I'm slightly conflicted because I kind of want this square-peg-round-hole experiment to end and I suspect that only failure will ensure that.

If the playoffs started today, my Flyers would be in fifth place in the East and have to play the Pens. Ugh.

On a happier note, Bryz has been on a tear lately and we're starting to pick things up.
