You Think The Ravens Made Any Type Of Offer For R. Williams?

17 posts in this topic

I don't think they did. Harbaught even said in his press conference Monday that it was a long shot that they would make a move but he did say that the topic came up. The coaching staff is new around here, so to come in here and just start trading away players or even picks is kind of a slap in the face to the players and the growth of this team, not that it would of been the worst move IMO, but we have lived and died by the draft and feel we should address this situation the same way.

Roy being in the last year of his contract is not worth it. What if he wants to sign somewhere else next year even if we offer him the best deal. Remember Randy Moss took less to play in NE.

I think we're running a conservative offense because we don't have enough quality skill players. We need a breakaway runningback.

Nope. We need a break away WR first.

Doubtful, which is very disappointing considering he would have filled a much-needed void on our offense... oh well, no point crying about it, now we get the pleasure of having to stop him when we play Big D

Ouch ouch ouch I just hope our secondary is all healed up by then, that's the one good thing about us playing them at the end of the season, these early bumps and bruises will have time to heal.

The Cowboys gave up their entire draft class for a veteran receiver who struggled in Detroit, not sure how this makes any sense. Romo is injured, Pacman just got suspended again, i guess the Cowboys were just desperate for some "good" news and they had to make this trade happen. Roy Williams is a good receiver but people forget that he was basically useless in Detroit this season. He would have not made a difference here in Baltimore either.

I think Ozzie talked to the Lions regarding Roy Williams but just look at what they were looking for. Harbaugh said they talked to some teams but it's hard to make a trade happen. And if you look at this trade you'll know why. Give up your entire draft class? AND sign the guy to a huge contract? Not going to happen.

Dallas doesn't need anymore Wide Recievers. I wonder what Terrell Owens thinks, now that he's not the only big name WR on the Cowboys. Maybe he'll get mad and quit the team and he'll come to the Ravens... :D

I wouldn't say their ENTIRE draft class, considering the 6th Rounder was courtesy of Tennessee because PacMan got suspended again AND they got a 7th Rounder along with Williams so basically all they gave up was a 1st and 3rd for an excellent, young WR who was struggling in Detroit because EVERYONE struggles in Detroit AND they were complete losers.... Randy Moss' situation ring a bell?

Yeah, there's no way TO would ever be released from Big D anyway and I wouldn't even want him after he spurned us a few years back, not to mention all of his off-field antics, complaints, etc.
