Ha ha, you been warned!

You just have to write a review after.

I have been into a Kurt Vonnegut phase - some odd stuff, but rather creative and funny, I suggest reading Cats Cradle or Slaughterhouse Five to anyone, I am not sure which one I may read next

Will do. Had to buy a hard copy, not available for kindle, lol. Just makes it that more intriguing. Reviews on amazon sound pretty much like yours. I'll give it a shot at least.

No Way Out by Mitch Weiss and Kevin Maurer about U.S. Army SF in Afghanistan. So far it's really good. I'm big on U.S. military and history books.

Vertical Run

By Joseph R. Garber

Favorite book of all time. Little dated in that the guy is a Vietnam Vet in his 40's, but holy cow. It's a page turner to the end. Great twists. His sardonic inner voice is a riot.

Highly, highly recommended.

Ok. Just finished Mr Torso. It was sick but not personally revolting (that probably says more about me than the story). Here's hoping they go deeper as the stories continue.

Let me know what your thoughts are on the philitigist, when you get to it. That one caused some churning of the stomach.

Just finished No Way Out by Mitch Weiss and Kevin Maurer. About to start The Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell. I originially started it years ago and for some reason I just couldn't get into it. But an old neighbor of mine just brought it up recently and is really thinks highly of Luttrell, so I'm going to give it another chance. Supposedly, they're basing a movie on it and it's going to star Wahlberg as Luttrell. I'm not his biggest fan, but he is alright, so like this book, I'll give it a chance.

Excellent series - for the time period. I also love his "Mere Christianity", especially the first 69 pages or so, and his view on time.

I'm reading "A Reliable Wife" by Robert Goolrick. Interesting, but just like the "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" series, I think this author has some pent-up issues... parts of it are twisted... ;)

I love Stephen King. I recently read Pet Sematary and I also recommend The Long Walk. But right now I am reading "Get In The Game: 8 Elements of Perseverence That Make The Difference" by Cal Ripken Jr. :) Love me some Cal!

Jeffry D Wert's A Brotherhood of Valor: The Common Soldiers of the Stonewall Brigade, C.S.A, and the Iron Brigade, U.S.A.

After that, I read Stephen W. Sears's A Landscape Turned Red: The Battle of Antietam.

In a Civil War kind of mood lately.

You ever read the Bachman Books? It a set of 4 short stories by King, using the psuedonym Richard Bachman. All four are interesting: The Running Man was made into the movie (of the same name) with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the Long Walk was especially excellent. I highly recommend it!

I haven't; did a quick wiki search on them and they sound good. Will definitely check them out, thanks! I read he used the Bachman name as a way to publish more books because his editor/agent/publisher told him that he would flood the market with "King" books lol.

Started reading The Hobbit a little bit ago, pretty good.

If I ever get back in the mood, I plan on checking out King's 'The Dark Tower' series one by one from the library. The first go-round I think I stopped at 'The Wasteland' or whichever the third volume is titled.
