Ozzie Nuesome is the best. He is effective at his job. We scout well. We draft well. We see improvment and are coached well. Ozzie has integrity. We tend to let people play out their contracts. We don't overspend therefore we are rarely forced to cut players to get under the cap. That said Foworth will be cut. He's hurt and we have three young corners that look great. Evans may be cut because $4million is alot of cap space. Jarret Johnson, Ben Grubbs, Cory Redding, Zibby, Nakamura etc. all completed their contracts. Ravens contracts are made with the intent of completion. Last year we had cap issues, young talented players and aging veterans. We cut Heap (who got a raise in Arizona) and Mason but the reasoning behind that proved accurate. Heap was injured much of the year and Mason didn't impact either of his teams. Pitta and Dickson made plays and Torrey Smith made the best of his playing time. We let far more players leave through expiring contracts than cutting. The secret here to letting players go in free agency at the end of a contract if they get signed by another team we recieve a compensatory pick. The league determines the players value and awards a draft pick to the former team. We should have a few this year...

There is a very good chance we get some nice compensatory picks. Remember that the most we can get are 4, which is good to me. The pick depends a lot on the contract. This is why I don't want us to make too big a splash in free agency. Every free agent you sign that wasn't on the team the year before counts against the compensatory picks we would receive.

If you sign a player that has been cut, it does not count against your compensatory picks. That's why Ozzie is so smart. He let's our expensive free agents walk, signs key free agents we need, then waits for the cut playes after the draft to get bargains.
