Calling All Metal Fans

Went to a Cooper concert out at Merryweather in the summer. I'm 53 so it brought back some great memories.....atleast I think so. Some of those 70's concerts are a bit of a blur! Anyway, the opener was Manson, and although I hadn't been a fan of his, gotta admit he did a good show. The opener for him was.....GWAR. Now this was my first time hearing them but I'm familiar with the whole "shout into the mic in your best devil voice" thing. This was certainly a young mans sport, lol. They shot fake blood all over anyone within 50' of the stage. At first I thought "how rediculous". But then I remembered how cool we thought it was in the 70's when Alice Cooper choped off his head and shot blood everywhere, or when Gene Simmons spit blood and/or fire at the audience. Or even when The Who (jeeze I'm old) smashed up all their equiptment after each concert. Ahhhh, some things never go out of style, LMAO.

I've been so discouraged with the quality of NEW metal music and other heavy rock in the last year. That said, anyone listen to the new Alter Bridge?

Why is Black Sabbath so good?

Anyways looks like there will be a couple albums coming out this year like from Judas Priest, Black Label Society and Mastodon. Can't wait to hear them all.

Mötley Crue is having one last world tour.

Got the chance to see them few summers ago, I think back in 2011. Wicked show.

Disappointed that they're gonna stop touring. I suppose that means they'll stop recording too. After the Saints of Los Angeles album, I felt they had another album or two in em.

Acid Bath....hands down one of the greatest unsung heroes from the metal world.  So sad that the band ended after two albums.

Melvins are fun.

Speaking of bands related to them…I am seeing Gojira and Kvertak open for Mastodon TONIGHT. 3 Awesome bands!

Hello my metal brethren.

I don't know if we have any Whitechapel fans in the house, but I've been a casual fan of theirs up until their self-titled, which I loved. A few weeks ago they released their newest album "Our Endless War" and it's one of my favorite albums this year, and well, just in general recently.

The new Hammerjacks will open in 2015 a little bit south and across Russell Street from M$T Bank

Stadium next to the Horseshoe Casino. There will be bands and post game events.
