Saw The Reddit Pic Of Superbowl Security Sniper Nests, Does M&t Stadium Have Them Too?

9 posts in this topic

Just curious to know more about what and why this is done?

Do people actually run drills for this, is it completely a police thing or does the NFL higher private contractors?

Has there ever been an incident where sniper were called up into the nest for standy?

just guessing here, but I think its because the super bowl is so high profile. I doubt regular season games have such protection.

Either that or its just a manning thing,,,

High-profile events like championship games, where a lot of people will be in attendance with a lot of eyeballs watching around the world, tend to have high levels of security.

Even during regular-season games and college football games, you'd be surprised at the amount of planning that goes into security. The level of security, however, will vary from event-to-event, depending on the situation.

I have seen snipers in the light stanchions when I think either POTUS or the VP was at a game,

I've also seen that here at UD whenever the VP visits. It's funny spotting them in the most random locations, and you wouldn't even notice unless you see them as they set up.

He still maintains his rifle proficiency, he was a medic. I never played paintball but they are deadly at laser tag too
