The NFL announced Tuesday that controversial Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has been suspended indefinitely without pay by Commissioner Roger Goodell due to his "alcohol-related altercation" with a team bodyguard at a Dallas hotel last week.
Wow. There is such thing as karma in football...

As bad as this sounds, and I know I shouldn't revel in another man's misery, but I'm happy right now. I'm happy that the league has finally done something about this cancer to the league...

Good riddance in my opinion. He doesn't deserve another chance at this point. He doesn't deserve the privilege and money that comes with playing in the NFL. He is probably the biggest bonehead I have ever seen. This man truly needs a lot of prayer.

too bad I was really hoping we could trade for him and hoping he started to turn it all around. is there anyway we can suck out all his talent and inject it into one of our corners?

The one thing that has always stuck out to me about Pacman (Oh wait I'm sorry, he is no longer wanting to be called that so let's go with Adam) Jones is that he's not even WORTH all of the trouble he brings!

I'm not really certain anyone is but for God's sake if Peyton Manning had cops called on him 13 times during his NFL career I'd be more likely to vouch for him than Pacman. (Whoops, did it again)

At this point he officially loses the benefit of the doubt and this is the right move whether or not he truly caused this incident.

Yes, me too. I hate how Dallas ignored the problem. and glad the NFL ADDRESSED the problem and didn't let them get away with it because it's dallas.

This suspension is only for 4 weeks. I thought no tolerance meant one more hickup and he's done for good. Isnt that what Godell alluded to? He needs to be kicked out of the NFL.

In a semi-related note, here's a little something I stumbled upon...

I guess you could call it "The Adventures of Pacman & Chris Henry"????

(WARNING: NOT SAFE FOR WORK -- strong, semi-censored language)

So...., I guess it's just back to "Pac-Man" then?

"Stupid is, as Pac-Man does." Isn't that how it goes?

Actually, the suspension is indefinite, but a minimum of 4 weeks. The Commissioner will re-evaluate the suspension following Dallas' Week 11 game.

Don't you guys get it. The league has recognized that Pacman Jones has a substance abuse problem.

Hence 4 weeks = 28 day program

They are doing what they should have did in the first place. That is why they will not be suspending him for good. They want to help him more than punish him and they realize this now.

For the record, Pacman's partner in crime (literally), Chris Henry was "surprised" by the suspension.

Remember this quote at the end of the article, for the next time Henry gets in trouble:
The latest suspension was a reminder to Henry that he has no margin for error with Goodell.

"I'm concentrating on football and off the field with my family every day, and that's all I plan on doing," Henry said. "He ain't going to have any problems with Chris Henry."
<_<

No way... this is the best part of the article:

"It was a surprise," Henry said Wednesday after practice. "When I did talk to him, he just told me he didn't think it would be anything, really. I don't know. I guess the commissioner really ain't putting up with anything, especially being in his situation and my situation."

I mean NO KIDDING CHRIS, he said ZERO TOLERANCE and that usually means ANYTHING.
