You Know Who's Really Bitter?

24 posts in this topic

The San Diego Chargers for letting Eli's Dad bully them out of two rings!!!! Well you never know what he could have done in SD but it has to hurt them on some level. Take that for thumping us lol.

Probably not as bitter as ol' Rexy. Better team in NY and guaranteed to win the Super Bowl? Sure you know which team it is you coach Rex?

Except the reason why the Chargers haven't won anything recently is because they're management (A.J. Smith) is incompetent. Remember last year when they finished with the #1 offense and the #1 defense in the league, but missed the playoffs because their special teams was abysmally horrible and they mentally checked out of so many games.

I don't think Eli going to San Diego would have translated into any championships for them. (By that same token I'm not saying that Phillip Rivers would have still won those two Super Bowls in New York.)

Rivers is a darn good qb but he is a yeller and pouter like Peyton and Tommy but tougher. The ironman performance he had in the AFCCG on 2 ripped up knees was incredible.

Yeah, but his attitude is a total turn-off to the point where I cheer against him now.

I'd say good choice Eli, for going to a more stable and well run organization. The Giants do what consistently good teams do, build from within and be solid defensively. They are smart for focusing on a dominant pass rush. Now, they did get swept by the Redskins. They play in a division that they can win with 9 or 10 wins. We don't have that luxury, which is why this season was so great and the loss to the Patriots so heartbreaking.

I don't think having Eli would make the Chargers any more successful - Philip Rivers is not holding them back, in other words.

Now, maybe if they'd had the foresight to draft Justin Tuck, Jason Pierre-Paul, Victor Cruz, etc then they'd be on to something.

Eli went to an organization that worked hard to win the Super Bowl.

Rivers' skills are being wasted with an organization that missed plenty of chances to go to the big dance.

I guess being lucky is part of the game.

I think Rivers can win rings with a supporting cast of the NY G-men.

SD is bitter they don't have the coaching staff or talent around Rivers, like Eli has.

No rational Chargers fan would take Eli over Rivers.

Well I will respond to this by asking what your user name is.....

Defense beat the Pats both times, Eli just didn't squander it away. Justin Tuck should of been MVP but we just love offense in the NFL these days....ugh.

Rivers doesn't have the 4th quarter clutch like Eli does. That man is a beast in the 4th quarter.

I know I wouldn't choose Rivers over Eli when the game is on the line in the 4th.

Eli would be my choice out of the two. Hands down.

I'd still take Rivers over that Manning anyday. Eli won because of that defense and supreme play by his wideouts. He had so little to do with those Super Bowl victories it's insane. He was almost as useless as Roethlisberger was during his first Super Bowl.

I don't like Eli (although his 4th qtr performances were impressive). Just took the opportunity to throw some dirt on the hapless Chargers..that is all. LOL. #ravens4ever

Lol at this thread. Ravens still sore cause they got dismantled/exposed by a hapless Chargers team. My favorite play was when Rivers threw a bomb while Gaither shoved ray Lewis's face into the ground. Lol.

I don't care about giants rings. All I care about is the Chargers working hard to get theirs. And if I had to guess, Eli will return to scrub form, just like he did the after his first ring.

Btw Thanks for JJ!

Id give him at least some credit for the Tyree play in getting out of the sack, and finding a some space to throw the ball

So who is sitting at home watching playoffs?

Who cares about the Chargers working hard? every1 works hard in NFL, mostly.

Eli returns to scrub but he has 2 rings and you have none.

Playoffs, Asian Rice? Playoffs?! The Chargers are just trying to win games! Don't talk about playoffs!

Lol @ the Chargers working hard. You better hope & pray Gaither works hard after he got that contract. You might see a different Jared. He might look like Subway Jared by the time he gets on the field.

God bless you. I hope for Rivers sake that Gaither does work hard. I'd like to see JJ in the playoffs again.

Congrats on getting JJ, and on your divisional win...oh sorry, I mean on your playoff wins...hmmm...no rings either? Well at least you are working hard.
