I want Berry to get a chance back there. We need a fast, elusive back after Rice and Allen

Damn, thats sad.
Oh well, now we need to worry about a back up RB. Ughhhh, hopefully they do just as good as Ricky.

The Ravens have confirmed that Ricky Williams will retire from the NFL.

Williams rushed for 444 yards & 2 TDs in 2011 and became the 26th player in NFL history with 10,000 career rushing yards. He totaled 10,009 rushing yards in his 11-year career.

Great Career Ricky! You were always one of my favourite backs to watch, besides Jamal Lewis (@ the time), Willis, and Rice.

On the bright side.....we now have some extra cap room to flex.

This does give us some extra cap room. He was a great runningback. He did a lot of things this year, he will be missed. We got Allen as our backup now. Let's see what he can do again in the preseason. Rice could have another career year again.

Thats how rumours start man! No, but on a more serious note, i wouldn't doubt hippy Ricky is hitting that whacky weed. Which obviously has no anabolic power on an athlete...

I agree. The NFL is known for throwing curveballs at players. But then again it IS just a rumour.

Yeah I don't get it either.

Either way, have a happy retirement Ricky.

I like Ricky a lot, but this could open things up to see what we have with Anthony Allen.

Anthony Allen will best bet become the new back-up RB and I'd like to see Damien Berry be the 3rd string. Ricky retiring is shocking and sad, but isn't too much of a big deal

Allen is ok in like Madden I don't remember his talent in the real world. I guess give him a full off season to work hard.

According to Aaron Wilson, the salary cap savings of Ricky Williams would be $1.5 Million.

Then I saw this on Twitter about him wanting to be a Doctor....

Quote

Luke Jones @BaltimoreLuke
He could change his mind, but Ricky Williams never wanted to be defined solely by football. Very intelligent and has plans to be a doctor.

I wish Ricky Well in his post football career and if he does become a doctor that he helps save lives of millions doing so.

He's another pounder much like Ricky. I don't know if he can be as good as Ricky, but he's much younger and has a very similar skillset. He ran over defenders in PS.

Cool stuff. I admire people who have multiple aspirations in life. Good luck.

We saved some money in cap which is a bonus and we still have two young backs on the roster. We'll be fine.

GO GET EM TORREY!
