What if Rice gets hurt? Do we really want Allen stepping up? A nightmare situation, but the world is unpredictable.
A guy name Peyton Hillis stepped in for an injured player before. I guy named Jamaal Charles did the same. Dime a dozen. Allen impressed me in preseason and with a full traning camp we will be fine with Berry and Allen.

"What If's" don't really matter, what if Flacco goes down? Next man up. and I rather have Berry and Allen than Ricky being next man up because I don't believe Ricky's body could of handled that kind of load to carry.

Yeah I agree Alex. Double A really impressed me in the pre-season as well. He flat out embarrassed the Chefs. And made Haley whine like a ten year-old. And I'm pulling for Damien because 1: His name has great chant potential. When he gets a TD, I wanna be the first to yell "Look, Damien! It's all for you!" and 2: He's from the U. We have/had a lot of great players from there. But I think Allen will be the main man. He needs to work on being more complete like Rice, but I think he can get it with a full offseason.

Lol at the chant. Great movie.

Yeah, I thought it was strange when we signed Ricky. Didn't think we ever needed him. Offensive line and pass rush is our needs. As well as heir to Reed and Lewis.

Well, any average back can look good behind a good enough oline. If we can upgrade the oline, Allen would be a good backup.

Good luck in the future to Ricky. His comments were positive, and encourages me to believe that the team is close knit.

why not?

this young buck rode the pine this season and learned from both Ray and Ricky. and...he'll never get better by just riding the pine and catching splinters. he's young, strong and a power back...the total opposite of Ray. play the man!

Like Stevie B said: Ozzie, don't be afraid to play the young guys. It's Allen's & Berry's chance. Let them have it. We can always pick a vet up after cuts and stuff.
Ozzie, please sign Marcus McNeil (LT). It's all I want for off-season. Thanks.

It would awesome if we could have Rice and Lynch in the backfield would never happen except in madden but that would be the ultimate combo

I think AA should get his chance, i don't expect the FO to pick up a FA like ryan grant or ronnie brown with our salary cap situation and the need to resign all of our other players. From what I remember from AA in the preseason (which doesn't mean too much), it seemed like he fits really well in the zone blocking scheme. He was patient and picked a hole and burst through it with power. The backs that excell in the zone blocking scheme do just that, use their patience to pick the correct hole to run through and then use their agility and power to make the cut and burst through the whole (which is what arian foster and ray rice do best)

I'm not saying AA will be as good as ray rice or arian foster, i'm saying i think AA would be effective in our running game and we won't need to spend a couple mill for a back up rb

I was thinking with Ricky retiring recently, and Anthony Allen didn't really get any opportunities... Who will win the backup job to Ray Rice....

I think this off-season Damien Berry might impress in training camp and become apart of the active roster beating out Allen even....

Maybe a free agent veteran like R.Brown might sign for cheap....

Any draft suggestions or potential free agents ?

I'll take Hillis and rice..
There's enough Hillis haters on here that I may get burned for that but Hillis is a monster and would bruise runners more than lynch would and Hillis can catch the ball a 100x better than lynch

I have a feeling he'll stay with the Browns he just had an injury plagued year. I wouldn't mind having him though. If he was cheap enough.

i know he was found withs guns and was arrested and was released but i still think Ravens should sign Laurence Maroney cause he is a great running back

Being good with him in Madden does not make him a great running back. The RB-starved Patriots let him go. The RB-starved Broncos (before McGahee) let him go. He's not that good. Anthony Allen can do everything he can do, and most likely better.

We wont get either but Hillis was hurt a lot last year and wants to get paid. Plus Lynch is a very hard runner but also hard to tackle. Hillis is a lot like McClain was and has the same attitude so hes off my list.
