I wouldn't call that pass amazing by any count, it was ur basic run of the mill pass to the back of the endzone. Got it where it needed to be though. As for Lee, he didn't drop the pass, it was stripped......go back and watch the game.
You do realize multiple experts have said that was one of if not the best pass of the season not just for Flacco but for all quarterbacks and we know the media is not a big fan of Flacco... so no it was not just a run of the mill pass.

Do you need me to explain why it was such a great pass or do you think you can take your anti Flacco glasses off and figure it out for yourself?

Um, I guarantee you Flacco is one of seven or eight quarterbacks who can make that throw. And the ball was in Evans hands and he didn't secure it so either way he didn't catch a perfectly placed ball. But I suppose that's just like the interception that torrey tipped into the defenders hand during the cardinal's game was also a not perfectly thrown ball and was flaccos fault, according to you. Do you have cable and actually watch these games? Stop the hating already.

Don't dislike him, just don't build him up. Didn't think Boller was good eitehr but didn't switch teams and I think you are foolish for suggesting that just because i think Joe is overrated (mostly because of all of you)

Join another team? Man, that just irks me. I've been with this team from the beginning and just because he is better than any QB we have ever drafted doesn't make him god. Our offense held us back from a superbowl and the offense needs to step up. Starting with Joe AKA the "leader" of the offense. Yeah his receivers need to stop dropping balls and his offensive line needs to block better but you all are so willing to put the Wins as Flacco's achievements you are going to have to put the losses there as well.

He played good against the Patriots but was horrible during the Texans game and I will back Ed Reed's comments before I run to Joe's defense 10 times out of 10 because he is a proven player and that man watches more film than half our team combined.

So don't tell me to switch teams because I am looking at this with my purple goggles off. He needs to release the ball faster, he needs to make better choices with the football and he needs to be consistent. Rolling out of the pocket and extended plays had me giving him an A+ in the Steelers and Pats game. But he doesn't do it consistently and now we are going to give the guy an extension where he will probably be making 13 million a year because he is a" franchise QB" where guys like Ben Grubbs will have to walk because of that.

He better step up his game since his center, guard and left tackle will all be either rookies or old (bryant)
I agree Flacco needs to release the ball quicker. At the same time I equate that to scheme. Waiting for Boldin on a go-route is LOL.

How can anyone say Joe played horribly during the Texans game? Dude gets sacked 5 times but throws 2 TDs to zero interceptions against a top 5 D. Oh yeah, and there was no run game. Sure it wasn't a masterful performance, but lets be real here, Joe did all he could to help us win that game, and we did.

Every time people put the wins on Flacco's belt, the rational supporters say (usually) "Joe put us in a position to win" or "He may not have won the game but he damn sure didn't lose it".

So yeah, maybe the wins aren't all Joe, but people respect our offense for the first time in franchise history, and Joe is a big part of that.

I saw a lot of good in Joe's scrambling ability in the AFCCG. I think we see more of it next season, as well as more rollouts and throws on the move.
Yeah. Was kind of shocked when Joe started scrambling to get firsts. Joe was layiing it all on the line, no tommorrow. They should implement more doses of that next year to keep defenses off balance. But the more I think about it, one bad shot at the QB, the teams chances of a deep playoff run diminish. -See Houston Texans for details-

First off, he should have secured that pass.Good play by the DB? No. Lee Evans ,as a veteran WR, needs to tuck that ball, and hold on. Boldin can do it. WRs all over the NFL can do that.

Second, my brother and dad told me that they were watching Sports Science recently, and according to that, the DB did not strip it. The DB actually hit Lee Evans in the chest, and the direction of the force would not have caused anything on the ball, or something fancy like that. I didn't see it, and I tried looking for it on youtube, but I can't find it. It was a catchable ball.

Why are you defending the guy that cost us a SB and instead throwing Flacco under the bus for everything? The guy you're defending cost us that game.

Lee ran a great route and Flacco put it where it needed to be. Does that mean I said it's Flacco's fault? I just didn't call it an amazing pass....

I'm not Hating on Flacco! Like i've said before it wasn't an amazing pass. Amazing is a strong word. It was a great play by Joe and I am defending Lee because I rather him come back and redeem himself than talk about signing one of these huge million dollar contracts to some diva like Vincent Jackson or Draft another freakin' WR in the first 2 rounds.

I've said it before, you lose as a team, just like you win as a team. Suggs was absent all game, our guys couldn't stop the run, ray rice was a non factor, ed dickson was a non factor, cundiff missed the kick to TIE the game. Not win the game, TIE it. Joe threw a stupid interception and there were costly drops Lee being the worst one.

That team was the better team and they Choked and gave the Patriots the game.

I feel I am a flacco realist, acknowledge the good and bad. I feel he still needs to get rid of the ball faster and sometimes should just seize control of the offense when he feels Cam is up to his antics. At the same time I've seen what routes are being run and the oline blocking which can be the reason he holds on not to turn it over. This season I saw him make great strides and some of the same bone headed plays, some of which that come to mind are the picks he threw in the AFCCG and the pick in the second quarter of the Bengals game which was right to the defender. Though this was one of his worse seasons statistically I left this season feeling a lot more confident in him that I have in others. When Joe is in the shotgun teams will start respecting him more and drop more into coverage. He s starting to show he can pick defenses apart and you can see when he has time to make adjustments at the line(actually qb) he's pretty Damn good. Look at who he's throwing to and who Ryan has. Matty Defrost has 2 number 1s and put up all of NO POINTS in his 3rd post season flop. Can you all imagine the criticism our guy would receive if he did that after our franchise bent over backwards for another weapons like that? Point is Flacco can and will put up the numbers and even more important we know he can handle the pressure. If not for drops, missed kicks and the defense giving up late drives I think Flacco would be up there in late game comebacks. He should also get a decent contract though I'm hoping nothing too outrageous.
I think Flacco will have a break out year next season. Another year under his belt with alot of not so new names anymore. The chemistry can be here next year with the talent and veterans we have. Boldin, Smith, Evans, Pitta, Dickson and Rice. I hope Rice doesnt get targeted on as many pass plays this year. Confuse the opposing D. Evans if he is still here will produce for this team. Him and Smith will put Boldin in his comfortable area. Making him productive too. Hopefully we are balanced with alot of people touching the ball on offense. I would like to use the whole field and make everyone a factor to make defenses thin. I cant wait for next year. Its gonna be special!
I agree with what you said completely. I am looking forward to next year, I haven't said this before but next year will be our year.

Now I dont watch the Ravens much but from what I saw in your primetime Pittsburgh game where he led the last minute drive and his games against my team the Texans and the AFCG he impressed me. You have something special with him.

It's year 5. He's broken out. He's our guy and I'm happy. Hopefully people will stop dropping great passes.
The Ravens should try to sign him to an expensive extension right now. Show him what he means to the organization and Let Joe Flacco carry them on his back.

Definitely need to see Joe moving around. I can't understand why it is not done more so that he is not such a fixed target in the pocket. Also, Caldwell's plan to sharpen all fundamentals will have a huge impact. You can never work too much on the fundamentals, and the work you do raises the quality so much. I'm all for Joe (of course) and look for a huge year in 2013.

Dude you havent learned you can't make a non-fan analysis of Flacco without someone insulting you personally. You know how many "you don know anything about football" replys I got cause I said a guy cut and pasted his stats to make Joe look like he was elite or very good. I was like yeah because he is average you can do that. You can make it look on way or the other which is....average, middle etc. Not saying he is a mop but making him into Tom Brady he is not.

Cause Alexir you forget that when a person is defending Flacco stats matter, but when a person isnt they dont. Its wierd on this board. One of his worse seasons as a QB in the year before a contract year horribly inconsistent and a 80 QB rating. Had great games but horrible ones too and over his career has been bailed out by the defense more times then not. Average.

You and Alexir should get a room and talk about how average Joe Flacco is. After all, looking at the boxscore will tell you every thing there is to know about a QBs performance.

The idea that Joe Flacco is babied or somehow impervious from criticism is pretty far-fetched. The dude gets roasted on a weekly basis, despite having a good amount of success compared to his contemporaries - that's why it's refreshing when analysts or opposing fans are actually fair or say good things about him.
