Bored and angry cause I feel we could have beat either team. Point is the once feared duo of Belicheck and Brady is losing its aura and after that 6 td performance againt a lame duck Denver team Brady has looked awful pedestrian. Yes the numbers weren't bad last night and there was the drop but he had plenty time in the pocket to throw.

My point is this... I always thought it was awkward that after the tapes were discovered they were basically immediately destroyed, the Pats were basically given the largest fine for cheating and then had a draft pick revoked(1 rounder). If it wasn't as bad as it was made out to be why destroyed the evidence? Most of those games were very close and since being caught we all no the story, its been nothing but disappointments for that team. Actually, as I'm typing this I just realized being a Ravens fan is probably no where near as bad as being a pats fan. Imagine having to watch your team go 18-0 just to lose the most important one to the then thought to be adopted Manning. Your qb gets injured no playoffs, knocked out the playoffs next year by a qb who completes 4 passes, knocked out the next year but loud mouth Rex (and Mark Sanchez)..... Then you finally make it back and say, let's win it for real this time guys and.... Last night happens... Maybe its the ghost of Al for the tuck rule, karma, Eli is Patriots kryptonite or maybe, just maybe they didn't deserve the first 3 to begin with... End rant

James Harrison and Ryan Clark also tweeted this right after they lost lol
[/quote]

Finally, some common ground between Ravens and Steelers. Yay for Schadenfreude.

Those two are still allowed to tweet? I thought the Rooney's would've banned them, since they're normally complete morons on it.

Well I never thought I agree with either Harrison or Clark but in this case they bring up a good point. Also what is their overall Playoff Record including Super Bowls, I mean they were bounced a few times and were pretty much one and done. Could we be seeing the end of two eras here? The Peyton Manning era in Indy is going to be over and now maybe the Patriots era of Brady-Belichick are done too.

I refuse to ever agree with Harrison or Clark. Even if what they say's right I'm going to disagree just because I hate them that much.

Didn't the Steelers lose last years SB, too? Those concussions have taken their toll...

And James Harrison calling people "cheaters", LOL - pot, meet kettle.

I feel that too. I've been saying this was that combos last real time chance at a sb. You look at teams in the AFC and see a lot of teams who will be getting better. Ravens and Texans are looking like the future powerhouses. Also, the Bengals are coming up and eventually the Chargers will get their stuff together.

They've also won a lot of games post spygate. They've been to two Super Bowls in five years. They didn't win them, but are you honestly willing to say that's evidence that they relied on tapes? They lost to the same team twice, and the Giants are clearly a bad match up for them, but they give themselves an easy postseason road by winning a lot in the regular season. You know that they're consistently good, I think this is just jealousy. If anything the Patriots have shown that they are consistent winners without the taping, by continuing to win a lot and make it to Super Bowls.

The problem isn't the cheating post-spygate or whatever. The problem with the Patriots is the core of who they were when they were winning Superbowls is gone. All they really have left is Brady and Branch. Corey Dillon is gone, Kevin Faulk looks done, Rodney Harrison is gone, Mike Vrabel is gone, Tedy Bruschi gone, Willie McGinist gone, Ty Warren gone, Richard Seymour gone, Ty Law gone, Vinatieri gone, and while some of the replacements they've drafted i.e. Jerod Mayo have filled in nicely, a lot of their draft picks have been poor, especially recently. It has nothing to do with Spygate or whatever - they've still gotten to the big game twice, but when it came down to it they didn't have the defense to stop the Giants in either game. Not to mention, Brady has been okay but not great in both of the Superbowls. His last 2 wins he had ratings over 100, in these last 2 vs. the Giants he has ratings of 84 and 92 - the offense isn't producing, and the defense isn't good enough to overcome the offense's lack of production - kind of what Steve Biscotti was alluding to when he said "Yeah, we could trade our corners for Fitzgerald but then we'd give up 27 points a game".

Belicheat 3 - 0 in Super Bowls.
Belichick 0 - 2.

It sure is a lot tougher to win when you don't know what plays the other team is running......

Disagree entirely. Belichick still has one of the highest, if not the highest winning percentages in the NFL even after Spygate. The problem is not getting caught cheating, rather not having the talent they had in the first 3 SBs. Their defense was much better in those years.

I forsee the Ravens nation will take over the world pretty soon.......

me too, me too.
The Patriots and Indy dominance will fall. Ravens will rise.
What other teams will rise in the next year or so?
Texans?

I got the Ravens, Texans, and Bengals ruling the AFC throughout the 2010s
