I think Bettis is first ballot to keep the Steelers nation happy, Martin will be 3rd or 4th.

Really? Martin has more yardage and one less TD despite playing two years less than Bettis. I don't see how Jerome Bettis, fairly, makes it in before Martin. But, as you alluded to, nothing is fair when it comes to Steelers.

I was overjoyed to see that Martin made it in before Bettis. He has been waiting a looooong time for this (as has Chris Doleman, as a matter of fact).

Jim Trotter wrote about the fact that there will always be snubs. It's a good read. He explains that there are always more deserving candidates than there are slots and makes the point that the decision is never easy...and that it's not going to get any easier. Included are the first-year candidates for '13, '14. and '15. Think we'll see JO go in first-year in '13? :D

That being said, my unhappiness smolders for Andre Reed. Jim Kelly never would have wracked up HoF numbers without him. Jim's in. Thurman Thomas is in. Will Andre ever get to join them?

Cortez Kennedy over Tim Brown, Cris Carter, and Andre Reed? Hmmmmm...

Don't get me wrong; arguably the best DT to ever play. Perhaps that warrants the honor by itself. Still, makes you raise your eyebrows a bit...

I wish they would put Andre Reed into the Hall of Fame myself, long overdue. Though next year is going to be even tougher for him along with everyone else who didn't get in. The list of players who are eligible in 2013 is pretty good:

- Larry Allen

- Jonathon Ogden

- Michael Strahan

- Warren Sapp

- John Lynch

- Steve McNair

I would love to see JO get in the first time around but I think it would be cool to see a Ravens type of Hall of Fame night and for Jonathon and Matt Stover(the original Raven and the very first pick of the Ravens in 1996) go in at the same time, just like I want to see Ray and Ed go in together.

It really sucks. It's going to get even tougher for them to make it with all the unquestionable HOF-worthy players coming up, including more WRs.

I can't believe Carter is not in the HoF. He is one of the greatest of all time and there's really no excuse for him not to be in Canton.
