Thursday Night Games Starting Week 2

12 posts in this topic

Got a text from ESPN that NFL Network's broadcast of Thursday night games will being Week 2. In total, there will be 13 games.

Personally, I hate Thursday night games. They compare no where to the magnitude of a Sunday or Monday night, and you usually forget about them unless your team is playing.

I cant find a link but I'm sure one is coming.

Maybe if the games weren't such terrible match-ups, it would be interesting.

Lol, yeah. Monday Night Football is even worse. TNF is better than MNF. They should do flex scheduling for those MNF & TNF games.

Monday Night Football is just as bad, if not worst lol. SNF is where it's at

More broadcast games. I'm not complaining.

I think we all wish MNF and TNF could be flexed similar to how games can be flexed to SNF and out of SNF. It just won't happen due to all the traveling issues. Fans plan these trips as soon as the dates are revealed. If they flex the game or move it, it will cause travel issues. I do wish they would allow Flex Scheduling to start sooner though.

I'm excited...more games to watch. The more the games are spread out, the more I can see. It's hard to catch all the action when the games are all bunched up on Sunday afternoon.

Especially for those who don't have Sunday Ticket. You may get stuck with a crappy local game while another game that is going on is close and great. I just don't know about it starting early as Week 2 but maybe Week 5 or 6.

I hate this idea, all of a sudden you have 13 more teams going on the road on only 3 days rest from the previous week. Not to mention the winner of each game will start with a leg up on their next opponent with an extra 3 days rest after the game too.

they said every team will play a thursday night game.. now i think thats fair becuase at least once every team will face the short week.. when some teams never have faced this, now they will, it means teams cant complain because every team will face it once
