The point is why don't all linemen look like this? doesn't it make sense to eat well and work out harder when there is such a small window and millions of dollars are on the line?

I never understood it either. Those guys get paid to work out and play football. If I was paid to work out, and thats all I had to do in the offseason, I could look like that too!

Didn't he sign a 1 year deal with the Eagles? Maybe if Grubbs leaves he can come in for a short 2-3 year deal and be our LG.

Well not alot of people can be 300+ pounds and look like that. Thats the most difficult thing. Plus everyone has a genetic limit when it comes to muscle mass and size, its not as simple as "you're an Olineman, you can be 330 pounds at in great shape". Otherwise they would all do it.

He dropped to 290lb. It's not about looking jacked (and I agree that not all linemen would look exactly like this) but I don't see any excuse for gaining weight in the offseason or having lovehandles and a huge gut. I look guys like Bryant McKinnie and Gurode and think they aren't taking this seriously.

Ahhh ok I got you now. Ya I agree, some Olineman could shed some weight and be in better shape while still being as effective.

That 30 lbs could be the difference in getting shoved into the Qb or anchoring the line... These guys are paid to be large , and depending if it's a zone or a man on man scheme it makes a difference in what the strengths are.
