NOOOOO!!

I'm showing that just as there are Qb's that have started their career off poorly (like Flacco) and have become legends, there are also Qb's who have started their career off poorly (like Flacco) and have become busts.

To suggest that Joe Flacco will be as good as another based off of their struggling 1st year as a rookie quarterback is misleading and besides the point.

Get the point? Good.

You don't even have to pay me for teaching you this lesson. You're Welcome Neepo!

p.s. Stop making false assumptions DOOM!! DOOM!! DOOOOOOM!!!
LOL! LOL! LOL! Its funny how when everybody points out how many failed QB's have won the Heisman Trophey, or how many failed "short QB's" there have been, or how many failed "scrambling" QB's there have been you attempt to make the same type of arguement that the orginal poster is making. You have nothing but optimisim for Troy Smith despite the fact that he had done NOTHING, to warrant it but you are very pessimistic about Joe Flacco. Can you say... HYPOCRITE?

Before, you make some comment about me or anyone else being biased, please note... that I never claimed not to be. You have and its obviously not true.

Its DOOM! DOOM! DOOM! for Flacco with you and its all BLOOM! for you when it comes to Troy Smith.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think it is fair to Joe to compare him with those guys at this point, even though it is in context of their rookie seasons, it's still not fair in my humble opinion.
yeah but they all struggled on BAD teams...

The Baltimore Ravens are not a bad team. We've been 1 qb away from a dynasty for almost a decade.

How come Big Ben didn't struggle in his 1st year? How Come Dan Marino didn't struggle in his 1st year? How come Joe Montana didn't struggle in his 1st year? How come Brett Favre didn't struggle in his 1st year? How come Tom Brady didn't struggle in his 1st year? How come Matt Ryan isn't struggling in his 1st year?
Hmm, I think your looking at things with purple colored sunglasses.... Lets be real, we have one recieving option (mason, banged up OL, and a very very depleted Defensive Backfield. We may have been "Close" preseason on defense, but no one would say we are close to being a sb contender on O. He has little help, and hes inexperienced, hence the struggles. He has a TE who is underachieving and a 1st round pick WR who seems to be more n more like a bust (Clayton) giant tease in D. Williams...... You have to look at what hes working with too guys. He makes plenty of mistakes, but the recievers dont do much to impress me either outside of mason.

90% of Statistics are made up.

All these numbers prove is most rookies suck.

What these games prove is that Joe isn't in that 1-5% of rookies who don't and that the injury bug is starting to rear its ugly head.

Well, put Clayton in Slot, and if we actually try to go downfield with more complicated routs, then you'd see more success from all of them. But joe is still a rookie, and the routs are still simple. so Mason is the go-to guy.

Sooo...According to you Neepo: I'm a 'Flacco hater' who thinks Flacco is a bust, a bad disloyal fan who is always negative, I don't support the Ravens, I know nothing about football, I'm a pessimist who only sees the worst in every situation, I'm a critic, a lier, a shame, I make stuff up, and on top of all that....a hypocrite.

hmmm..Is it safe to say you don't like me very much? hahaha Way to stay positive...

or

Maybe I'm a realist? Who sees both sides of every point?

Just because I give a suggestion or counter a point doesn't mean I have a bias, doesn't mean I'm negative, doesn't mean I don't support the Ravens. How you take the truth is on you. If you always see things in a negative light it doesn't matter what I say now does it? But I will continue to point out the facts and continue to rebut things that are pointless. So if that offends you, oh well. Eat a cookie.
Agreed. Joe will be fine. I was watching his face at the end of the game, after the last interception... He was pissed. That's a good sign.
i got pissed when i dropped a ball in pre-game today...that doesnt mean im gonna emerge as a star receiver
lmfao...the saga of ravens great QBs...if your pissed because you throw a pic thats all we need...you can throw as many as you want as long as it pisses you off everytime
rofl...seriously...you have to be joking
So far Flaccos comp % is higher then even Marino's rookie year. Im not sure completely sure but I cant recall any QB who started with a better comp % in their first fiv4e games then maybe Roethlesberger.

Roethlisberger had a much more experienced OL his rookie year including two Probowlers in their prime, Marvel Smith and Alan Faneca.

IMO comp % is the most telling stat as to a QBs performance not QB rating.

TDs to Ints is very misleading. A good run game will lower a QBs TD #s. Cam stated in one of his interviews that he prefers to punch the ball into the end zone.
so i guess in 2004 brian griese was better than manning, culpepper, mcnabb, favre, green

do you honestly think that flacco is doing better than matt ryan right now
yards per attempt is better than completion %...the only reason flacco's is high is because of 1 and 2 yard passes we throw all the time
flacco's yards per attempt
you have to factor in mistakes
matt ryan is averaging an int every 53 passes...flacco is averaging an int every 21 passes

Well i think he meant that at least he didn't care that he didn't get a pick, that he doesnt want to make the same mistake over and over again.
