The agent will ask for Top 5 and the Ravens brass will smartly make it worth a bottom Top 10 deal. 6 years $60-70 million with $5+10 million in incentives sounds reasonable.

The FO knows what they're doing and understand that you can't devote a ton of your cap space to one position because you have to have enough talent around your entire team and the budget must be spread equally around.

6 year 59million dollars for fitz. Thats 9.8mill.
5 year 63.5million dollars for kolb. That's 12.7mil.

Both highly possible to being cut next year.

What you propose is ridiculous.

He will get paid more than Philip Rivers(16.7m thats with bonus), Eli Manning(16.8m with bonus), Matt Stafford(15m with bonus), Big Ben's restructured contract(15.5m with bonus) and in par with Tom Brady's contract(19.2m)
That is ludicrous.around 19.2 million a year. I like Joe alot but I would never think this.

All I want from Cam is to stop making boneheaded decisions constantly. I understand nobody's perfect and even the best OCs screw up royally every season. But he should be capable of understanding that Boldin is not an outside the numbers receiver, that he's too slow to be running those routes. He should realize that putting Boldin in the slot paid off big the few times he did it, and he should know that Boldin played a large majority of the time in the slot while in Arizona, and that's where he's at his best. Cam should know that if the offensive line can't block he needs to do thinks like call more rollouts and more curl routes and other shorter routes to maximize the time the offensive line does give. He should know that if the offensive line can't block, Ray Rice isn't strong enough by himself to take on multiple defenders and will get stuffed, so Ricky Williams, who can push through better, should get more carries. Cam should know that if the receivers can't hang on to balls, that he's got a guy on the bench who is supposed to have some of the best hands on the team in Doss - are we to believe that Doss was incapable of learning even 1 single play between August and January? I believe Cam kept Doss on the bench because he's not as fast as Torrey or Lee, and Cam would rather have speed than the sure-handed guy on the field - harsh I know, but I really believe that's the way Cam thinks. The problem with Cam is that he does the same things over and over again, and somehow expects results. Every great offensive coordinator knows how to use their personnel effectively, and I don't think Cam does all the time.
The only part I disagree is with Tandon Doss. I think Doss wouldn't open up any parts of the field because of his skill set. Him and Boldin offer the same skill set and we pay Boldin too much money to play Doss and take away from his receptions. But other than that I agree. Cam made it tough to watch the Ravens because the same mistakes were consistently made. There was no deception because he was so predictable. But I do believe he got better as the year went on.

prediction: he will make more than Cassell or FItzpatrick or Kolb.....and they got ridiculous money

Joe Flacco will make more than Matt Flynn and he's about to clean up because he did well while he was a backup

$18-20 million a year

I dont see Joe Flacco making or Geting 18-20 million a year from the Ravens 12 million tops.

I got a good idea.

6 years 30 Million dollars guaranteed in signing bonuses ($18M) and roster bonuses ($12M)

Everything else incentives

Per Years Incentives: (Make these Incentives active next year from past performance, so Joe gets paid with rookie contract this year)
Signing Bonus per Cap year ($3 Million)
Guaranteed Roster (Injury) ($2 Million)
Majority of Snaps ($1 Million)
Land in Top 10 Categories in QB (At Least half of all Categories in Comp%, QB Rating, TD, TO, Passing Yds, Comps, etc) ($1 Million)
Land in Top 5 Categories or get any major Awards (Pro-bowl, All-Pro, MVP) in QB (At Least half of all Categories) ($2 Million)
Make Playoffs (Wins%): ($1 Million)
Win Playoffs ($500,000 for Wild Card, $750,000 for Divisional, $1,000,000 for Conference Championship)
Win Superbowl ($2 Million)

That's $14.25M per year if he hits all the incentives or 6 years ($85.5M max with $30M guaranteed)

I'm willing to pay that much, if we get rings!

I know Cam is going to do his job keeping Flacco away from those top ten categories, so we save $3 millions right day. If Flacco can land in the top 5 categories, I have no problem the money that goes with it because that means he's with the big boys (Brady, Eli, Rodgers, Rivers, Brees)

Put heavy emphasis on what Flacco does best, winning playoff games. However, win the Big Dance, the money is yours next year.

lol Anyone who believes Flacco is stupid enough to put his paycheck into Cam's hands just really hasn't been paying attention.

I saw a debate on nfl network where they were talking about Joe's contract and long term. It was probably the fairest argument I ever heard about Flacco. They said he's not top 5 for sure but they like him long term over guys like Matty Ice, Shaub, Cutler, Freeman, and Sanchez.

I saw that too. That might have been the most positive I've ever heard Warren Sapp talk about Flacco.

I was surprised that Warren Sapp and Holt gave Flacco some respect. It is hard to put Joe in the Top 5 when he doesn't have a Super Bowl and based on his stats, which again are hampered by an antiquated offensive system, but he's still a player you lock up. I don't think anyone can argue that he's a franchise quarterback, especially compared to those other guys they brought up on NFL Network.

Warren Sapp and Torrey Holt said Joe Flacco was not a top ten, but a top fifteen QB. I can't think of ten QB's better than him right now.

Those thinking that his agent asking for top 5 money is a stupid move are<insult deleted>! Do I think he should get top 5 money? Hell no! But he sure should ask for it...its a business!
