New England has 4 capable wideouts...
We only have 3... What if we retained Mark Clayton and add him to this;
1) Bolden
2) Evans
3) Smith
4) Clayton....

Think of the 4 vertical route 1 of these guys is bound to eventually find the end zone...

Have some faith in Ozzie Newsome because he will add to the

UP FRONT ON 3...

When I think of Mark Clayton, I think of him dropping the touchdown in the endzone against the Patriots.

I don't want him back. In fact, I don't like too many players from OU now because of Mark Clayton.
Ozzie, please sign Marcus McNeil (LT). It's all I want for off-season. Thanks.

We're here complaining about the Housh drop last postseason and the Lee Evans strip last week - Clayton had at least 3-4 drops of that magnitude every season he was here. And for being a guy who was supposed to be excellent at gaining separation in college, he never could while he was here. Demetrius Williams, I think, was actually more talented, just too injured all the time.

Yes! Demetrius Williams was like glass, but he could at least catch. Those were the bad days when we had terrible receivers. I can't even imagine how good we could have been if we had Boldin, Mason, & Smith back then. I think L. Williams could've been our #1 or #2 behind Mason back then.

Yep, if we'd had the receivers we have now in 08, Flacco, even as a rookie, might have taken us all the way. People seem to forget that he took us to an AFCCG with Mark Clayton as his starting wide receiver.

We dont need to bring in another veteran with injury problems. We finally drafted a stud receiver in Torrey Smith, now we need to use the draft again to find another explosive receiver. Especially with a normal off season we can bring in a rookie and get him up to speed. I also expect to see some production from Tandon Doss this year, kid has got fantastic hands and thats what we need.

We going to be looking for Travis Taylor next? Maybe resign Chester Taylor to be ray's backup?
How about we go talk old Flynn to suit up and play center again? Or maybe....

These threads are awesome..

You've been cold blooded recently. And as far as Demetrius, I'm still mad we picked him over Marshall considering Brandon was the next receiver taken and Williams was obviously picked cause of athletic ability we rarely got to see. I'd much rather see what Doss has to offer. He seemed like he had reliable hands.

Mark Clayton is a waste of money and a roster spot. He had his chance to prove his worth, and he never reached his potential. We have two young WR's (Doss and Williams) who should be given a shot.

There is no logical reason to bring another veteran WR to the Ravens. Let Q and Lee teach the young guys.

Why's that? Because I'm trying to kill Oher lol?

Embarrassing to admit, I actually thought Demetrius and Chad Jackson were the two most talented recievers in their class. I was stunned (in a good way) when we got him in the fourth.

Then, reality struck...

Receiver is a hard position to draft. Most of the time, guys tend to be overrated in the first round. It's all luck. Some great receivers were drafted in the late rounds. We were really lucky to get Torrey.
