Its been a loooooooong time

 

I've been pretty sick. And then after getting better I had to catch up on three missed weeks of nonsense. More kitty pictures coming to help me deal with my mom's cat's death.

Came home today from work, there was a stray gray cat just sitting outside the door. I figured I just see if it would let me come near it so I could see if it had a collar or something with a name tag and just pet it for a little bit. Soon as I started walking toward the door it ran to the side of the house. Came back a min or two later, and I saw it heading toward a grassy area and never saw it again.

 

 

 

Yes I wanted to pet the kitty but it ran.

We adopted a new kitty a few weeks ago.

Why Betty Boop?

Good question.

Every pet we have ever had in this house ( hermit crabs, fish, frogs ) all have been named after cartoon characters. Moo's real name is Cow ( from The Cow and Chicken Show ) and Dooters real name is Scooter ( from Muppet Babies ).

Okay so that cats name upon adoption was Ariel. It could be quite the fit but our daughter name is Arielle. So things could get confusing.

My daughter middle name is Elizabeth. Named after her Aunt Betty.

Betty.

So Betty Boop is how she got her name.

We call her Boop for short.

Surprisingly the cats actually prefer the RAVENS blanket over the Angry Birds blanlet.

Well the Ravens win the Super Bowl every time they make it, unlike the Seahawks, Cardinals, Eagles, and Falcons. All of which look angry.

My landlord just turned 90 and has moved into a posh senior community. She has 2 old male cats named Cuddles and Milo. They have roamed the outdoors of the lodge where I live their whole life but now will become house cats in new homes.  I'm trying to acclimate them to not going outside. Cuddles got up a chair next to the back door and tried to turn the door knob to get out. They're smarter that we think.

You guys have huge cats! Mine are tiny. Granted they are all currently under one year but the 2 gray tabbies are 10 months already.

My first cat was my favorite and will always be. After 16 years she cashed in her chips. Everyone called her "Killer" but the name on her marker at the pet cemetery she rests is "Keeki"...One Cool Cat.
