Did you really think Cameron would give up one iota of power that wasn't strictly taken from him by the higher ups? There's too many sources (especially players who have played for him) that say he's a control freak for me to think differently.
Wasn't the hiring of Caldwell essentially a strip of Cam's power and control by the front office, not like it matter since apparently Caldwell was his man at Wake, but still

People need to stop saying stuff like that.

I'll settle for better footwork and pre-snap reads.

That's what set Joe from elite QB and good QB; if he gets that straight up, he will be elite as being Joe "cool" rather than Manning.

Joe is pretty much like a better version of Roethlisberger, but with Caldwell's help, Joe is the infusion of Ben and Manning.

Also, with Caldwell signing, Joe has already forgotten that he just lost in the AFC championship cuz he will have more shots at the championships later on....

I don't know if he's a better version just yet, but yes. Flacco is in the same mold as Ben. And I will gladly have that as my QB.

I love the signing. I'm not sure how much he had to do with Manning's success, but Manning was more successful under him than not under him. Maybe just a coincidence, maybe not. Either way, I'm glad to have a QB coach thats had the experience he's had. Coaching Manning is a great experience.

I hope Jim teaches Joe, Peyton's play action fake. The way he stretches the ball out waiting for the rb to grab it then pulling it back at the very last second. Flacco kinda just dips his shoulder and it is very noticeable at least for me when we go play action.

Quoted for truth. Flacco doesn't sell the PA well at all. Definitely a skill he needs to pick up. It's little things like that where he can give his receivers a little more help.

I think if Flacco's PA fake was as good as Manning's that pick he threw in the AFCCG wouldn't have happened. Maybe. That was a horrendous fake, even for Joe.

Caldwell was the QB coach in Indy from 2002-2008. During Manning's first four years in the league, without Caldwell, his QB rating was an average of 85.2; the four years after Caldwell took over, his average rating jumped to 103.3. That's not just Manning, that's also good coaching.
yes it was during those first 4 years that people complained about mannings release and mechanics that he had too many tells , Caldwell came in and showed him how to fix them encouraged him and from there it was all good

Btw, if you didn't know, the Colts ran a very simple, bland offense with Manning.
Yea, but I don't want him calling plays. I want him to fix some of Joe's flaws and maybe slap Cam once or twice. Ya know, I ain't askin' for much. :D

even though joe has a terrible PA fake, he does make monster yardage off of it.
Imagine how much more could be done when Joe has an amazing PA fake. Which, I think, he will improve on. I can see a lot of TDs coming from PA passes.

Okay, good. I am just excited to see who we sign, draft, and to see the progress that we will have made after this offseason. I wish the season started up again tomorrow.

Agreed. It was better this season than it has been but man, it is kind of brutal.

I like this hire. I think Hue's supposed power plays in Oakland hurt his chances to return here as a QB coach and who knows? Perhaps he just wasn't interested in the downgrade.

I don't know how much Caldwell had to do with Manning's development and even if it was the other way around, he is sure to have picked something up from Peyton. I'm really just happy to have someone between Joe and Cam.

Yeah, but we don't need to get too complicated here, just execute better and not look so predictable.
