MERGED: Ravens At The Pro Bowl - Game Thread

74 posts in this topic

11 passing touchdowns (12 if you include the interception), 1 rushing touchdown in the Pro Bowl so far... and Vonte Leach has the one rushing touchdown.

Yay for pointless observations.

I find that funny how the AFC said if the NFC is going to pull all the antics of two on-sides kicks and fake punts than they are going to play put the pressure on and it has worked out.

I just wanna take the time to say how much I appreciate the MEN who traveled to the Pro Bowl to represent this team. Ray Lewis of all people doesn't need to go there but he does, yet he is the most energetic person there. Big ups to Yanda, Grubbs, and Leach as well. Glad some of our players are man enough to take a loss.

You can't hold it against people for not going to the PRO BOWL.
[/quote]Really? Because I am pretty sure ESPN has been ripping Ovechkin for not going. NFL=Entertainment. Pro Bowl=NFL. Pro Bowl=Entertainment. They are taking away from the fans and themselves really by missing out on the opportunity and the money. Ray Lewis can't possibly earn more of my respect because he has it all but every day he impresses me. Proud that a 36-37 year old can take a loss and be a man and mentor to his peers at the pro bowl where others back out for "personal reasons".

Nothing hurts a loss more than sore losers. Glad Ray is who he is. Gonna miss him one day.

Maybe because they are nursing injuries. And really, there's no point in playing a game that doesn't matter. I'm sure the fans would rather their players stay healthy for the next season; when the games matter.

I still agree that the players should have played, but still, you have to look at it objectively.

would you rather players not really try in the probowl or for everybody to go all out and risk getting injured in a game that doesn't matter? also i have no problem with rr, sizzle, ngata, and reed not wanting to go; reed is constantly nursing an injury and i'm sure the other three had good reasons as well.

Exactly, Ngata was hurt most of the year as well. Suggs must have been hurt for his production to have gone down so much. Reed we all know is hurt.

Rice, well, can't imagine he was completely healthy.

And Alexir, who are you to judge how manly these guys are, because they aren't yet over a heartbreaking loss? Who gave you that right?

I think Suggs, Ngata, Rice, and Reed are pretty manly men. And I know like hell you wouldn't tell Ngata to his face he isn't manly to his face.

I woke up on Monday morning and grabbed the paper. To my surprise I realized that the Pro Bowl had happened the night before. I totally forgot about it, and from what I read, it seems like it was a crazy game.
