I would of given him a 5 but with Cam coming back, i gave him a 3. Which to me says " I think he can get this done but wouldn't be surprised if we fall again in the playoffs". A 2 being "we are going to fall again" and 4 being "he is the guy to get this done".

use your imagination to what 1 is...5 I guess would be "Super Bowl 2013".

John Harbough must get better going forward, period. I just don't see how he makes us better on the field? I give him a lot of credit as a manager of professional athletes and for building a family atmosphere in the locker room, but as a special teams unit this year we were not good. This is his area of expertise and for us to not be in the top half of the league with the talent we have is unacceptable. Remember, John was responsible for bringing Cundiff in, and continues to vouch for Cam unconditionally. It is important to remain objective when analyzing our team, and if you are, you should recognize the four straight years of making the playoffs are not because of John Harbough; it is because of Ozzie Newsome. If we replaced John tommorrow, I am very confident we make the playoffs next year and continue to improve going forward. Even though we have DeCosta as heir to the throne, I still worry about a future without Oz.

As a side note, I find myself annoyed with Harbough's press conferences, especially after a loss. He comes across as defiant and indignant with the press; just answer the damn questions John, I want a clear explanation as to why we lost to Jacksonville, not angry retort and excuses. Does anyone else feel this way? If you compare him to what his brother did, Jim is the obvious winner. I witnessed him being the reason for SF's dramatic improvement, expecially with A. Smith. He would get a 5 out of 5 in my opinion, where I believe John earned a 3.

Hard to give Harbs a 5 when he brings back BOTH Cam and Flacco. We have seen that this offense has struggled and if Cam can't get it done find someone who can or if you think Cam can get it done, get a new qb. But we have seen what this duo does.

I understand Cam, but why would he not bring back Flacco? Are you crazy? And btw, don't be so ignorant about it, if we were to get rid of Flacco, it would ultimately be the decision of Ozzie, not Harbs. You're just one of those blind Harbs haters that hate him for nonsensical reasons, aren't you?

I have 0 confidence in the bad Harbaugh, but that wasn't an option. I don't care about how he rode the most talented roster in the league, at least on defense, to the playoffs four years in a row. I'm tired of the peppy attitude, protecting people who don't deserve it, and utter stupidity in press conferences. And he contributes nothing to either side of the ball that you need a head coach to have experience in. Maybe if the FO wasn't relying on Harbaugh's judgement in personnel decisions he'd be ok, as the one area I have to give Harbaugh credit in is managing egos on team, but he is completely incapable of stepping back and evaluating his players and staff. There is no excuse for keeping guys like Cam Cameron, Jerry Rosburg, and David Reed. Sometimes you have to fire your friends and make the tough decisions as a head coach, and the bad Harbaugh has proven that he is completely incapable of doing that thus far.

Rosburg? I said it once, I'll say it again. We had a great special teams for 3 years, so one bad year out of 4 means he gets fired?

David Reed, as much as I am upset with him, has good potential as both a WR and a returner. So he fumbled a few times. So did Rice and Ricky. I guess we cut them too. And ya know, Boldin dropped 7 passes or so, seeya later Q. Yeah, I just fixed the team. Not.

And are you completely ignorant to what we had before Harbs? We had a much better defense under Billick, but couldn't win consistently. Oviously, Harbaugh has some part in that, no?

LOL, think you misunderstood me....I am far from a Harbs hater. I meant that we have seen Cam and Joe struggle co existing and if they refuse to get a new coordinator than we might as well get a new QB because I don't see anything changing. Not saying Cut Flacco, was more of a tongue in cheek remark about keeping the coordinator for your QB who is hurting his progression. Guess you didn't comprehend it correctly, not a harbs hater or a Flacco hater.

Cameron hater? most likely.

Like I wrote a couple posts back, I wrote a 3. "Think he can get it done but wouldn't be surprised if we fall in the playoffs again"

4 appearances in 4 years including 2 AFCCGs, he is like the AFC version of Andy Reid.

hahahah I had a 2 but I did clarify at the time that the OP did say in the "right now" and it was right after we'd found out Cam was coming back.

I'm not looking for Harbaugh's head. There are just things I believe he needs to do much better and should be doing better by now. As for the ST coach, I'm not as bent about him being back really. As you said, this is the first year our ST has been so deplorable and Reed did not only go down with an injury but for some reason forgot how to hold onto the ball. Then it became "can anyone return a kick?" time. Not to mention Cundiff's injury cut down on the touchbacks big time as well. (I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt here and saying it was his injury that cut that number down). I thought LaQuan did well on coverage and given a complete offseason and some work, he could definitely be our return guy.

The clock management issues have got to stop next season. If it's Cam and his slowness getting the play in then Harbaugh needs to address that. If it's on Harbs then he needs to fix it. Four seasons is long enough to figure out how to manage the clock effectively.
