maybe you should just stop doing it milli, have your heading ryan clark had this to say, please read whole statement. You know hoe people would react and it paints the guy in a bad light on these forums cause people aqre too lazy to click a link lol
naw, i am free to start threads like the next person in here but your point is very well taken Arnie.

but, in my original post i asked everyone what was "their" take on what was said. interestingly enough, many of us here (myself included) saw nothing negative with his statement while others...because it came from him specially....did and automatically attack the thread title. smh! it's all good though.

sadly he's right, this year i thought everything aligned for the ravens to win SB, and again the ravens come up short.
thanks for "actually" reading the link and forming your own opinion about what he said.

i don't think that it made me look bad either because as you mentioned...the cats in here that really know me (the more frequent posters here that actually read) know where i was coming from with the thread, post and link.

As much as I dislike cheapshot clark and the steelers he is speaking the truth and the fans of this franchise would be saying the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot. This team played down to the level of their opponents this year which is the reason the AFC Championship game wasn't played locally. With Cam coming back next year this same squad will be lucky to sniff a championship game.

Losers make loser decisions and bringing Cam back was a loser decision.

Ryan Clark made this statement about our Ravens. What's your take on it?

Doesn't Ryan Clark owe his career to Troy Polamalu? I think we know who the bride is in that relationship.

Well, he is sorta correct. We have had 4 playoff appearences in 4 years, with no hardware to show for it. We haven't been to the big game in 10 years. I hate to say it, but he has a valid point.

yeah but that was with a rookie HC, a rookie QB...new OC...4 years in a row, 4 playoff trips, 2 AFCCG appearances

we finally caught the Steelers, and past them...we have a QB, I like my team and what it just did in 4 years

but i think we all know it could have been so much more THIS YEAR

Well as of right now, isn't he right? I hate to say it
Yup its a true statement... That can go with saying the true hurts. What Clark mean by that; Ravens are always looking for Mr. Right(superbowl) but we always fall short, and watch another team enjoy what coulda been ours. That's just football, always a winner and always a loser, it seems we're always coming up just short. There is always next year!

Just exactly how did we catch and pass them? Over the past 2 seasons we are 3-2 against them. Unfortunately for us one of their 2 wins was in the playoffs last year. But they've lost more Super Bowls than we've appeared in.

It's true but it's not a good idea to supply more ammos for the Steelers in a flame war......

Nobody is always a winner or vice versa; soon or later we will see ourselves more in the SB appearance....

Lets see he is at the Probowl because Ed Reed is injured and he is running his yap about the team that swept his and his team was Tebowed? Cool we saw how good it worked this year.

Hey Mod, one year is not a career. Clark has had plenty of success, including Super Bowls.

Actually, the part about "running his mouth" was incorrect. Did you even read the article? Clark wasn't busting...in fact, it sounded like he had genuine compassion for the Ravens....this concerns me a bit.

Well he just said before this season that it wasn't a rivalry because we don't beat them. Obviously he's an arrogant little <jerk> but that's not unusual in the NFL I guess. Too bad Clark is worthless in one of the 32 NFL stadiums, they probably would have beaten the Broncos if he played.
He can't play at that altitude because of an existing medical condition.

Clark has sickle cell trait, a condition that can be problematic in the high altitude of Denver. In a 2007 game there, Clark became violently ill and lost his spleen and gallbladder in addition to losing 30 pounds because of deprivation of oxygen to his major organs.
Yes, this is correct. It would've been very difficult for Clark to play in that game. Denver is at a high altitude, which means decreased oxygen. When someone has sickle cell disease, their red blood cells that are normally disc-shaped are sickle-shaped. Red blood cells carry oxygen to the tissues of the body. The red blood cells need water to expand their volume. When you have less water in your body, your blood becomes thicker and there is a disproportionate amount of red blood cells to volume. This causes the sickle red blood cells to clump together and impede blood flow causing a clot. This deprives the organs/tissues of oxygen and thus you have ischemia AKA death.

In summation, it's a good idea he didn't play. Dehydration & oxygen are two key components of sickle cell crisis, which is extremely painful and can cause death. No football game is worth a man's life.
