Give Flacco More Audibles And Control Of Offence!

I stopped reading the rest of your post after I read Flacco stunk up the field against the Texans. You are really short sighted and lack football knowledge. I'll put it this way... you know Big Ben... the one with two rings... his offense only scored 5 more points at home against the Patriots... with his D getting a lot more 3 & outs... if Evans catches the TD pass Joe would have put up more points. FYI I don't think the Pats D is good by any means but they are a lot better at red zone defense hence why they are middle ranked in points while give up a lot of yards. I could give you play by play reasons why Joe was the best player on the field Sunday and why he didn't stink up the field against the Texans but I'm not going to spend that kind of effort on you.

Well thats just my opinion and you do not have to agree with it at all. Just remember that we did not win the game and we lost with Joe Flacco. I get it, if you love Joe your going to defend him. I like Joe and I'm glad we have him over the likes of a lot of Qb's in this league. Point is we didn't win the game. Against a poor defense, we didn't put up enough points to win the game. Our defense held Brady in check for the most part. Even Brady himself mentioned that. For that reason, we should have won the game. Flacco is our Qb. Everything flows through him. I know he doesn't call the plays but neither did we make enough plays to win the game. Flacco may have had a good game in everyone's minds (i believe so too), but that was one of the few games that he has done that. Brady made the play he had to to win it for his team. Thats all it takes. Brady dove into the endzone and made the play that he had to. We can say this and that about Lee Evans dropped ball but the point is you win the game by not leaving yourself in that situation. And again, need I to mention that on the drive before that final drive, Joe Flacco threw an interception. DID YOU REMEMBER THAT PLAY. The game would have been essentially over if the defense had not done its job again and force a great QB into a 3 and out. That doesnt happen often to the Patriots. So, given Joe had another chance, yes he made the plays that he had to. But, hey, he would have done himself better by not letting the other team hang around. You have to win these sorts of games. You can't sit around and try to make the last play of the game. Tom Brady's team has been putting up 37 points a game last 7 or so. They didn't do it against us but Brady's a winner. They have a killer's instinct. Joe needs to play better in the first half and learn how to finish when it counts. He made a good throw to Lee Evans but remember, YES REMEMBER, none of that would have even taken place if the Ravens didn't get him the ball back in the first place. Talking about Ben Roth is a fools game. Your talking about someone that has already taken advantage of having a good defense. He has already won Superbowls. And on the way even, he outplayed Flacco in the playoffs in more than one occasion. Flacco had great receivers last year with Bolden, Mason, and even Todd Heap. Even then, we never reached the Superbowl. Again, Flacco didn't get the job done. Only difference then was that Flacco played POORLY in those loses even letting Polamalu strip him when we had a good chance to win that game (14 point halftime lead). I think when Flacco gets us to the SUPERBOWL, and does it with his plays consistently, then you should defend what he does. Till then, I'm really waisting my time replying to your comment. If you can't accept the fact that Flacco threw a pick in the drive previously, then really what are you saying. 2 drives to score a TD and nothing to come of it. Look on the other side and Brady made the play on fourth down. Flacco's drop came on second down. Game wasn't even over yet. This all sound's like I don't care for Flacco but I really do. Just he needs to get better for this team to ever have a shot at a title. It's not the defense, it's not the receivers (good Qb's make receivers look good i.e. Peyton Manning and Drew Brees). Do you even know who the receivers are that play for the Saints?? Aaron Rodger's??? He makes his receivers good. They communicate well. They have relationships on and off the field. They are on the same page. That all it takes. Great QB makes his receivers better. Anquan hasn't gotten better. He was a stub before he came here. So, it's on Flacco. I don't even wanna hear this and that about his O-line, his receivers this and that. Brady doesn't have better receivers and he's in the Superbowl. He knows how to use his receivers and im sure they talk to each other to make plays happen. Thats all that it takes. So if you can't come better than just that dropped TD pass (that we had already thrown an Int which should have cost us the game anyway) then just let the next man blast my post.

Conversely, a good number of great QBs in this league do. I'm not sure what singling out one single sentence in an entire paragraph did for ya, but thanks for responding!

Brady and Ben are the only "great" QBs I see wearing them. Brees, Rodgers, Eli and Rivers all don't. I didn't respond to the rest of the your post because I didn't disagree with it much.

I agree with this so long as Flacco gets a qb coach. I feel like a coach other than Cam helping Flacco transition into this will be important. I want Flacco to get more control of the offense, but I also want him to have improvement with this as it will be a degree of control he has never had before, and learning to make good decisions will be key.

that is key, because Joe has said plenty to make me think he would love to throw it all over the field, he might abandon the run at times when u prolly shouldnt haha

but every QB is like that to a degree i would think

I don;t think he'd abandon the run, but I do think he would get fooled by disguises and under/overestimate those on the other side of the ball and his receivers. Audibling is more about feel and experience than anything else
