Special Teams Coach

It appears as though Jerry Rosburg will still be heading up the Special Teams for the 2012 season.

Our ST were horrid this past season except for one --- Sam Koch. He is consistent asset to the team. Cundiff, on the other hand, had a great 2010 season whereas his 2011 season was dismal.

It appears that neither Rosburg or Harbs had much positive effect on the squad this past season. Are we to expect more of the same?

Rosburg was horrible this year. His pressers were sad and his special teams unit played with that same enthusiasm. Fire this guy.

I never understood this.

Williams didn't return a single kick or punt during his time at Maryland, but returns 5 kicks and a punt during the regular season. Meanwhile, Doss was an accomplished returner at Indiana but didn't get a single opportunity all year. Who knows what he did in practice, but it doesn't make sense from the outside looking in.

LaQuan had some pretty nice returns during the preseason, but didn't show the same explosiveness in the regular season.

Is Doss still on the team?!!??! I don't believe he played a down all season.....did he? A rumor was milling around that he couldn't comprehend the playbook which caused him to sit out the season. That's pretty lame. Today I read that Kindle had a hard time with the playbook until later in the season. Hello!!!!!! Get these dudes a TUTOR.

Well you know, maybe Harbs has a friendship with him as well. We were the worst ST unit in football but we keep our ST coach. Yeah, we're making great decisions here already this off season. Ugh.

No but man he had some nice tackles here and there on ST. He's kind of lanky so it surprised me.

That he did. He did surprise me on coverage.

This move makes even less sense than bringing back Cam. Maybe for the Steelers this would be a good special teams year, but for the Ravens it may have been a franchise worst.

I'm appalled that the Special Teams fell to such depths being Harb's spent numerous years as a coach for ST. He seems selectively myopic to the issues that plague the squad. No way could their inadequacies reflect on him. Nadda!!! Hopefully, John will spend more time addressing ST needs as well as being more involved in the offense this coming season (tongue in cheek.)

Okay. Rosburg has been a great ST coordinator until this year. Maybe, just maybe, its the players!!! I mean, God forbid we blame them for anything! It's always the coaches fault!!! Isn't it? Maybe the players just suck.
