I think its cool, Cam is not out there dropping balls all over the place. The run to pass have to be better I think, but I said this time and time again; "We need to catch the dang ball." If we would have done that we would be in the SuperBowl and you know we were gonna win that game. Then none of you all would being saying nothing.

unless he becomes more creative and less predictable then he should go... i dont believe he's the answer. yeah receivers need to catch better and get open and also the o-line create more holes for ray or ricky and needs to protect flacco or some injury can happen to flacco. but for example running a draw play on 3rd down and 3 and the running game is not really working. the pats D didnt looked fooled what so ever. he gets conservative when needs to keep to foot on the gas pedal.. he had philip rivers, brees as qbs and ive realized they both didnt become elite qbs until he left.

I just wanted to make a few things clear. I am not upset that they kept Cam, I am upset that they did it so quickly without just checking out the possibility of seeing what else maybe out there. If after a month or so, there is no better prospects than we have to keep what we have and I am sure most people would understand that. My problem with Cam in not a 1 year thing, it is based on all 4 years and repeated issues that keep coming up. 1. WR routs and play design that are very basic and predictable. We only run 3 basic routs that are easy to defend and use 5 basic run plays that are easy to defend once they have been seen. 2. His resistance to adjust his playbook or game plan. When a defense is bunching in the middle and the defensive ends are crashing right in with no regard for outside containment, he will continue to run up the middle and will almost never attack the ends with a sweep or pitch out. Teams are aware of his resistance to do something different so they do not worry about that possibility of Cam changing up on them until he actually does so. 3. Predictable play calling (1st play 90% of the time is Ray Rice to the left side behind Leach.) Last year was the same thing for the first play but with the end around fake. As a whole, our Ravens did very well this year and I am proud of them. Cam has called a few good games this year and I can't deny that but a few is not good enough. I will put it like this. Remember how we use to have to pick people to be on your team when we were younger and is was always that last person who got picked because he was not that good. Do that with Cams playbook and design. If you were to take the Top 8 teams in the NFL, took their playbook and schemes, put them in the middle of the table and had to pick one, Would you pick the Raven's offensive playbook as one of your first 5 picks. It hurts me to say that ours would probably be close to last if I had to pick out of that bunch.

Turn the page and lets move on. Evans dropped it and Cundiff missed it. We were the better team that day but its over. Its going to take a lot of luck to get back to that point next year but it wasn't the fault of Cam or Joe that we don't play next weekend.

Cam should be happy! His play calling is antiquated. Almost any other team would have let him go and tried to improve themselves. Not one Raven player or coach has had a positive reaction to his return. Please tell Cam that receivers can go in motion and that you can run stacked receiver sets to free up the receivers in their routes. I love how the Ravens run their organization, but bringing back Cam is crazy. Ozzie please explain it to me because I do not understand. I understand that everything is not Cam's fault, but he and the rest of the organization must get into the 21st century. I am one frustrated fan.

I thought this post would have over 1000 comments but its getting up there. Nothing like re-hiring Cam to get the fan base up in arms. I hope the front office is watching these message boards. Its hilarious to hear the response from them "you were never gone Cam". Wow like it was never even considered. how that be after 4 years of the same crap and riding on the backs of our beloved Defense. Maybe he's got the job as long as Harbs is here. seems like thats the deal now.

The Ravens organization has not been about losing, they have kept their promise of a winning and IMO will try to continue that promise. They made no comment that they were in the market for a new OC, and perhaps they feel that Cam Cameron gives them the best option at winning. Personally I trust the decision of the team over a group of irate fans who are upset over the loss in the championship game. I trust Ozzie and John they have done a good job so far, I never heard that any decision on coaches was up for public debate.

That's your perogrogative. To blindly have faith in the FO when all the promises we were made about this offense and Cam last season never materialized.

We'll see if you still feel that way when we miss the playoffs next season and perhaps barely hit .500 on the season. Our schedule is tough, we have a new DC who's previous style does not fit our players so I figure he's going to have an adjustment period. Our D will not be able to compensate for Cam next season, and we're going to pay for it.

You are entitled to your opinion, but I prefer to follow the opinion of someone that has their backrounds other than that of a fan who I have never met. Which one would you choose, because I don't know your level of expertise.

The only way I would have "assumed" that we wouldn't make the playoffs next season, would have been had we completely cleaned house. I agree with Barry... I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I do prefer to trust someone that has had the level of success that this organization has had, and the quality of the product they put on the field... and I, do not trust the fans... An opinion is one thing, but asking the fans to determine one's fate... especially based on our SUCCESSES of the past???? I will also trust the front office.

P.S. I was told the other day that I obviously know nothing about football... by someone who has never met me, someone who doesn't know me, or even my background... imagine that!

So let me pose a question.

Are you content with our underachieving, stunted offensive performance? Our predicatble play calling? Going conservative and sitting on leads in the 2nd quarter?

If you are not, and we are retaining Cam, what is it that makes you optimistic that this will improve?

Just merely pointing out that when you have an issue, in our case our offense, and you do not make changes, then you can only expect the same result.

@ravensdfan,

We really don't have a choice, but I understand. I think if we pick up Peyton Manning with our young receiving corps we will be great. Torrey Smith was under and over thrown the whole season. Can you imagine a ball hitting our guys in the numbers? We will score nearly 40 points a game.

What is your point? If you don't want to follow the Ravens after they have made their coaching decision there are 31 other teams out there. Either way to continue is futile, you have expressed your opinion and it is noted.

They have a good young quarterback and some good young receivers this team will be a force for sometime to come. It takes time for a team to mature, things will get better. Go Ravens!!!!!!!!!

Firstly, I wasn't replying to you.

Secondly, just because I do not share your sheep mentality that the FO is the be all and end all and never makes mistakes, do NOT EVER question my fanhood for this team. I am not some young bandwagoner. I was a Colts fan born and bred, left brokenhearted when they left, never went to the darkside of the Redskins and waited 13 years for Baltimore to once again see football. I have watched, rooted for, cried for and bled purple ever since this team was born. So back it off jack with your holier than thou attitude.

If your going to fire Cam then you might as well fire the guy that brought him here John Harbaugh and why stop there, fire Ozzie to. I have watched the Colts play here in Baltimore, I watched the 1970 superbowl between the Colts and the Cowboys. Colts won on a last minute field goal. Anyway I am glad to see a winner here in Baltimore with the Ravens, I've seen a lot of coaching staffs over the years and this one hardly ranks among the worst not like some are proclaiming.

Three times at the AFC chqampionship game is nothing to sneeze at, although it is disappointing the haven't gone to the superbowl. Steve Bisciotti said he wants to maintain a winning program, I can live with that. What other choice do I have I don't have 2 billion dollars for my own team or buy this one from him.

My fear is that the team has basically peaked. We accomplished all our goals except the superbowl. How much better realistically are we going to get. Joe is going to be Joe. If we keep the same offensive coordinator, then we can't expect to get much better. The plays are wack and it takes too long and it is too hard for us to score.

We can't expect the defense to improve much since we were already in the top 3. We led the AFC in sacks.

That's why it hurt so much when we lost because everything was lined up for this year. Now Ray and Ed Reed will be a year older.

Why can't we just get somebody who can catch the ball. It's like boldin dropped it in the end zone last year. TJ dropped it on 4th down last year. Now Lee Evans dropped it in the end zone this year. We need someone who is not going to cave under pressure and make some plays. We need to be able to score more so that it does not have to be close because we see that the recievers and the kicker won't be able to win it for us.

Okay look. I'm really tired of hearing how Lee Evans "dropped" the ball. He didn't drop it. The defensive player made a really good play. Could he have secured the ball better? Yes. Still it isn't like he just dropped it. The other team is trying to win the game too.

Man, John your butts in the hot seat now, putting all you eggs back in Cams basket. You do realize if you dont get to the Super Bowl next season there will be NO reason to keep either of you. This is just bad, bad news!! I think I feel worse hearing this than losing last week!! I was looking forward to seeing some offence next year, instead we'll be playing not to lose all season again. Our fans deserve more. How about wins that dont come down to the last second of the game - we deserve that - all the other winning teams seem to be able too? Bottom line: Not excited at all for next year and our "ball so soft" offense. And John when you gonna man up and admit you srcewed the pooch by not using that time out you had in your pocket?
