After watching the press conference, Biscotti made a lot of sense and I can see why he wanted to keep Cam in. But I also think that the signing of Jim Caldwell puts Joe and the offense in a different perspective. Hard to argue with someone that's coached a future HoF through most of his years and even his SB year if I'm not mistaken.

The only thing about Biscotti's press conference was he seems to think that only 10% of the fans want Cam gone. I would think it is much higher than that.

Cam needs to work in the offseason and create new plays or something, he needs to work on creating the offense around the players and their strengths..Cam does a real bad job at times of working players into the gameplan, he also abandons the run game at least for a stretch in the past 2 years...we have two TEs and he really could have used them better, at times it seemed like he would forget about guys

He's way to predictable, he needs to work this offseason on breaking habits and trying to have a varied passing attack but at the same time remaining balanced...we run out of the same formation way too much, we have to have multiple looks and mix things up

With the talent we have we should be a top 10 offense...as many in the media have said there are no more excuses for Cam

I guess everyone on the forums is 10%.

It probably is around 10% when you think about it. I'd guess that only 12-15% of fans have a good understanding of football and Cams role. Most people aren't on the Internet watching and analyzing the playcalling, most wouldn't know his name if asked who the OC was, some wouldn't even know what an OC is.

Thank you for having some perspective here. It seems that the majority of people here forget that we are actually the minority of fans.

True, but I think more than 10 percent of fans regardless of their in-depth football knowledge would say the offense under-performs at times.

Everyday I sign on and see this thread still going strong. Everyday (after the first initial shock of Cam returning) I bypass it. However, it is time for this thread to die. The man is coming back. We might not like it, but there is very little we can do about it. I only hope that along with that contract (which, btw, we never did get to hear how LONG it is for) there was a very serious and in-depth conversation regarding the things Cam needs to work on, just like he and Harbs talk about what the players need to work on.

If we were able to get a guy like Vincent Jackson I think our offense could really take off. Ozzie said that Cam had asked him a couple years ago that he wanted "big throwing to big" but Oz has yet to get Cam a big receiver for Joe to throw to. I have faith that if we were able to land a tall receiver (like V-Jax, but not as good) then we would have a much better offense and Cam would get a lot more respect around here.

If Todd Haley stinks it up in Pittsburgh, then this move will look pretty darn good.
John Harbaugh on the 2012 Mayan Doomsday Prophecy:

"It's a real strong possibility that it may happen. We'll have to let it play out, and we'll see in a few months. It's also a strong possibility that it won't happen. Do I believe in it personally? No. Well, maybe. We'll also be looking at bringing in new theories and having them compete, but whichever one emerges has to earn it's spot."

Just be consistent, is all I'm asking out of Cam. Air Coryell relies heavily on play-action - so give Ray Rice the ball 15 times a game, not 13 times combined like he got in Seattle and Jacksonville. Just call some smarter plays, put Q in the slot more, get Q shorter passes so he can do what he does best and get YAC, use the other receivers like Doss more, that's all.

I'm hoping Ozzie gets Cam a legit #1 weapon either via FA or the Draft... Alshon Jeffery anyone? 6'4", 229 lbs. Beast.
