SD always has our number and since we have to go there again...yeah.

** We will beat the Chargers this time, lots of Cover 2 in Rivers diet **

Pitt is going to be hurting but I figure we go back to the usual split.

** Very possible that we split with the Steelers but I think we sweep them again, have the CBs to keep up with the Steelers WRs when the play breaks down and our pass rush should be better next season **
No way we beat the Texans with Cam returning. We were lucky to get the W in the playoffs. Their D will only improve.

** Our D will do nothing but improve also. Texans can beat us but they have neva beat us but that means nothing so **
Browns - 2 wins.
Bengals - split. They played us pretty tough. Take it at home most likely lose in Cincy.

** Yea, very possibly can split with the Bengals too but we can very well sweep them **
Eli most likely takes us. I don't figure our D to be as aggressive or dominant with Pees.

** I will be excited for this game vs the eventually SB champs. Been wanting rematch of the Giants ever since they ran all over us about 3 years back with Rex Ryan as our D-Coordinator. I remember Ray Lewis after the game saying they game planned to play the pass more that game. **

Cowboys see above.

** Neva know with my 2nd favorite team in the league so I won't speak too much on it but I can see us going underfeated at home again so the Cowboys are in trouble **

We'll take the Chiefs and the Redskins.

** Redskins has the potential to be a very good team, anyone got RG3? **

Raiders at home - win.
Patriots...borderline, since it's here I'll call a win.

** With the game being here, we win **

Yeah that's right, I just gave us 6 losses and a potential 7.
This schedule is pretty tough and Cam's bs will not get it done.
I don't think Pees was the correct call either. He is smart but soft. Our D will not be aggressive or dominant enough to make up for Cam's ineptitude.

You forgot to mention the Eagles game which should also be interesting......

Wasn't sure what to do about them. Do they continue to implode? They will have serious salary cap issues this year. Who goes? Who stays?

Given their instability at this point, I'd call it a win.

If I had to guess right now (and it's way too early of course to make an educated guess), I would say 11-5 with losses to the Steelers, Bengals, Texans, Chiefs and Eagles. I see us losing one home game at the very most. Also, I would say it would be a two horse race between us and Pit for the division title with the winner going 11-5 or 10-6 and the second placer probably going 10-6 and making it as a wildcard. I don't think the division is going to be dominant next season, like it was this season.

I can see us going 8-0 at home next season too, and if we go 4-4 on the road again then it's all sorted. remember folks we were 7-1 vs playoff teams this year so we know how to play the best teams. against north I'm thinking 5-1 is very plausible so let's not worry yet... get the draft, camp, preseason and coming september... then the battles begin.

So wait, we actually have SD at home? That I can deal with.
no we are away, it was meant to be at home, but it was swapped with one of the other games in that division, that we were meant to be away to. so SD is away, the other team is at home.. (i cant remeber what team it was, but there been a thread on this already during the season, when the schedule first came out)

I see us going 12-4 again, strong possibility we go 13-3. We will probably go undefeated at home again, worse case scenario we lose 1 at home and I don't see us losing to teams we are suppose to beat anymore ( don't like using that term " suppose to beat " but y'all get the drift of what I'm talking about ).

Dang, so now we have to go in there again, and watch Norv Turner's version of Air Coryell dominate us again while Cam Cameron's version full of it's end-arounds just gives the Chargers better field position.
We ran 3 end arounds this year. This post is beyond ludicrous.

Based on what criteria exactly?

I really don't see us sweeping the Steelers again. Odds are good we split with the Bengals as well. They played us tough and have 2 top draft picks to play with this year. We still have NE at home as well. Could easily be a loss.

We have tough road games as well.

Honestly, 10-6 is the best I see given the return of the control freak Cam and breaking in a new DC whose last gig meant a lot of zone and 3/4 man rushes.

Sorry dfan, but you're overreacting. We went 12-4 last season with Mattisons conservative defense and Cams frustrating offense. That doesn't mean history has to repeat itself, but it's not like we're all of a sudden changing into a different team here.

I believe you are more obligated to state your criteria for saying we will go 10-6 than I am for saying we will go 12-4 again, possibly even 13-3. You first, I'm waiting.....................

I do. They're 20 million over the cap with only 43 players signed, or something like that. It'll be a feat for them to accomplish anything.

You know what I mean. Cam and Norv apparently run the same system, but every time the Chargers play us it's like watching night and day - you'd never be able to guess that the two offenses are trying to do the same things.

Maybe because they have a better QB, TE, and WRs.

Just a theory.

Im glad we finally play the PATS at home, but can someone please explain to me why we have to play the CHARGERS at their stadium every single time we play them. Kinda B.S if you ask me. But the same could be said with us playing the BRONCOS at home every time.

I already did this once in this topic. You even responded to it I believe.

If I recall correctly we only really disagreed about 2 games, one being the Steelers. You think we'll sweep them, I figure it will be the usual split. Not sure what the other one was. Oh yeah, you think Rivers suddenly forgets he has our number and we win even though we yet again travel to SD.

You figure the Cowboys to lose, I gave them a win.
You figure the Redskins could give us a fight, I picked us to beat them.

Realistically, 1 Steelers, 1 Bengals, Texans, Chargers, Giants, Patriots, Cowboys and Eagles are all potential losses. Assume we win 3 or 4 of those, it's ok to assume we might drop a trap game or 2 between either Raiders, Redskins, Chiefs, Browns or Broncos.

That said, I think a realistic and perfectly reasonable prediction is 10-6, 11-5 at absolute best, and 9-7 at absolute worst. I think 12-4 or better is getting a little overzealous. Our schedule was notably easy this year and we still went 12-4. I know we're all Ravens fans and have to say they'll go 16-0 every season, but I'm just looking at it objectively and realistically.

I still think we have a good shot to win the division and I still think we definitely make the playoffs, regardless of what our record is.

I'm glad that we have a chance to pay NE back for that game last Sunday. I'm just getting over it. I hope we beat them soundly.

That wont get them back if its a regular season game. It needs to be in the playoffs with a steamroll over them in the playoffs to shake this one off.

I don't know about everyone else but the playoff loss to the Steelers didn't hurt as badly after we destroyed them here at M & T in the season opener. Doing the same to NE will help to take the sting out of the loss.

Oh no Tebow!?!?!/!

It's not the hardest schedule, but there will be some very difficult match ups there and some not so much.

But it all depends on who they draft and who they lose.

Understand that parity is greater now than its ever been so we can lose to anyone on the schedule as this past season proved. Most, if not everyone I'm sure marked down wins against Seattle, the Jags, and the Titans and we see how that turned out. With that being said, I wanted you to go a little in-depth on why you feel we would go 11-5.

The way I see it, we will be going into year 5 with Flacco having more experience as well as Torrey, Pitta and Dickson, etc..... I know most hate the fact of Cam returning but with 5 years under this O, I see the offense only getting better and making strides like we did this past season. On the defensive side of things, with players like Smith, Williams, Kruger, McPhee, etc..... having another year of experience under their belt, even with a new D-Coordinator, our D will be better.

Simply put, we will be getting better on both sides of the ball as we have every year and the NFC East is arguably the second best division in football behind the AFC North ( use to be the NFC East every year ), but when we played against the NFC East a few years back, I feel that their division was better back then and we did pretty aight going 3-1 against them that year.

Your Right it won't feel the same because although all games have meening something has to be on the line to make it worth it .... because in my Eyes if we beat them it's like slapping your head and saying DOHHH....It's one thing i hate is when there is no pressure and we beat the crap out of a team and Lose when it means everything....

I said this already and your right....To me this season was based on quickness hurry hurry hurry no time to get ready because of the walk out.... free agents got gobbled up like no bodies business but what team keeps who .... remains to be seen....there are alot of teams in our situation that are over thier Caps....so i am guessing this will all clear up in the next couple of weeks....

I have no idea what the cap situation or FA situation is for any of the teams we will be facing so I can only go by what I've seen out of them this season.

Personally, I'd like to see us keep our team pretty much intact as far as players go. I know there are a few we will lose to FA and some that need to be cut to free up cap room. Namely, JJ (FA figure he takes a trip to Indy) Carr (sorry but too expensive for a 4th or 5th CB) Foxworth (yeah, classy guy but not going to be here next season). We need to keep Grubbs. We all saw what happened to our O line when he couldn't play. We need a Center. If we're keeping Cam, as much as I love Rice, with Cam's twisted scheme we don't need a beast back and he'll be expensive.

I don't see our D being as dominant or aggressive under Pees. It could change, I could be wrong but his history suggests he tends towards 3/4 man rushes and zone coverage. We just aren't as good in zone coverage. If our D can't carry Cam's stunted offense, I don't see us hitting that 12/13 mark next season. It won't be enough to keep up with some of the teams we'll face.

The Ravens schedule looks similar to the Steelers. The Steelers get to play the Redskins and Tennessee for their two easiest games.
Both the Ravens and Steelers schedule looks difficult.

I don't really understand the logic of punishing teams which finish with a good record with a difficult schedule the following year. I could understand tweaking the schedule a little but this Ravens schedule looks ridiculously hard, at least at first glance.

Why in the world would you think that the Redskins will be easy?
